Four running plays in the second half

Yes, four.

That's the number of running plays we ran in the SECOND HALF.

Three on the drive after the tipped INT, drive results in touchdown.

One on the last drive to Barber on the draw which the Giants left open the whole fourth quarter.

It doesn't matter that you average 10 or -10 yards a run. You use the run to keep the defense honest. On the goal line, they sat 7 in zone since all we did was pass. It's easy to not play man in the red zone and just watch the ball when you and SIX buddies are sitting in coverage.

The stats at NFL.com say 7 attempts, but I agree that it is too few.

I thought it was a bad call to let Romo pass on his first play in the game. He made a very stupid play that not even a rookie should make, but it was clear he was amped up and by running the ball first, maybe he would calm down. Execution by the players sucks, but coaching also has to put the players in the best position to win. I don't see that happening. Bad game by every facet of the franchise.

I apologize. It was seven, one being Romo scrambling, another being Barber running the clock at the end.

In any case, you can't abandon the running game when it doesn't work. The defense still needs to respect it.

Yep. Passing with a cold arm against a red hot NY defense was nuts. Just dam*d stupid, and poor coaching.

I think we averaged 3.28 YPC for the game. Not great but certainly, not horrible either. I saw several opportunities for Romo to pull the ball down and run with it for pretty decent yards. In the early going, I wouldn't mind seeing him do this a bit more. I think it would help slow down the rush tremendously. As a young, inexperienced QB, he is going to get blitzed a great deal. If he shows that he is a running threat, it will only help him.

I agree. Also, if they are going to pass, then they just need to do that. They should not make him do play action when the defense is not respecting the run. Why make him turn his back to the oncoming pass rush? Let him see the whole field, keep him in shotgun if they feel they need to pass every play.

I was just dying for them to run a draw on the drive where we were on our way to being down one score, I think it was on the drive where he threw the pick to the d lineman! We threw the ball every time on that drive, and they were primed for a draw to pick up about 20, like happened too little too late with MBIII.
