Fowler and Pickens swap jersey numbers

FRISCO, Texas – From 1 in college, to 14 in Pittsburgh, George Pickens didn't last long in the No. 13 with the Cowboys.

Now, he seems like he's settled into No. 3, after making a swap with veteran pass-rusher Dante Fowler. Pickens has already worn No. 3 in an OTA practice and Fowler is now in 13.

Those two numbers were made available this offseason with Brandin Cooks leaving in free agency, opening up No. 3, which Fowler took when he signed in free agency from Washington.

No. 13 was open after DeMarvion Overshown decided to become the first Cowboys player ever to don No. 0. The Cowboys gave No. 13 to wide receiver Seth Williams, who has since been released.

Pickens wore 13 for a few weeks but now is in No. 3 – which seems to be his locked-in number for now.

Superstitious?

3 is my favorite number. The only thing keeping me from buying Pickens jersey is I don't know if the Joneses will keep him around beyond this season. I hope they do though!
