1st - Harris, DE, Missouri
2nd - Brantley, DT, FSU
3rd - Scuster-Smith, WR, USC

I just can't see not taking a defensive back in the first three rounds. I know BPA and all that but you can't not improve the secondary here with a premium pick. I like Brantley but I am not sure I am going DT there.

In their draft, some options around them I might go with instead. Moreau goes 61st, Cam Sutton goes 62, Marcus Williams goes 63. Three guys that might intrigue me at 60 over Brantley.

Yeah I cant see us going DT at 60. Our DT's is actually a strength of this team IMO. We need to use that second or even first on a CB or SS to shore up that secondary unit. IMO

I wouldn't call a position group that has Stephen Paea ready to be a starter or first off the bench as a "strength of the team".

That said, Brantley is a player that admits he takes plays off to save up. I don't even have that type of player on my board.

Im just saying with Collins, Irving, Crawford, and now Paea there its not as bad as the secondary. It is a strength IMO. Paea isnt as bad as some of you guys are making him out to be, and now that he is back with Rod, I am expecting big things. Maybe its blind homerism, but thats just how i see it.

I guess my definition of "strength of the team" is different from your definition.

We have acceptable bodies and sometimes that is how it can be looked at.

I look at the group and see issues. At best we have the same crew and replaced McClain with an equivalent in Paea. Nothing really has changed.

But it is not it is not a true pain point where the priority has to be shifted to address. This also is a pretty weak DT group in April, unfortunately.

Im not saying its a massive strength as much as im saying its not a priority over DB and some rushers. Thats all.

I'm pretty sure with the abundance of corners in this draft that we won't make it out of the first three rounds without a corner.

I am ok with not taking a corner until the 3rd round if we get a DE and S Josh Jones in the first two rounds. I don't Jones lasts til 60 though. Would anyone be upset if we took Josh Jones at 28 and Tim Williams at 60?

Maybe if we didn't waste the past two drafts gambling on players addicted to drugs or ones severely injured I might consider Tim Williams @ 60. But we need both our first two picks to be contributors this year and with us for the entire year, barring injury. That's why I would pass on Williams.

As for Jones, I don't know a lot about him. And because I don't, unless he's like Ronnie Lott or Ed Reed, I'd rather go another position.

I think this is how things will end up playing out as some team (the Raiders 4 picks before us in this case) puts together the dream draft from the FO's perspective, and they'll do it barely in front of us.

Just outta our grasp!

1. Peppers
2. Adoree'
3. Mixon

Ok with first pick, they lost me after that though neither is horrible. Rather see help in the secondary at one of those two spots.

Appreciate the honest Brantley and for that honesty let us be honest if you are their in the 6th round we will grab you cause that how far you dropped on my board
