Video: Fox: Jimmy Johnson reacts to Cowboys' head coaching search

No to both
Agreed. The scary part is you can see it coming knowing Jerry. It requires him to do the least, hire a guy who he already knows and had, and give the DC job to the guy who was here last year. He barely had to wake up from his nap to do that, lol. I guess if Zimmer retires, Harris gets the job. Another easy move for Jerry. Im preparing myself for it now.

Not that I necessarily agree with it, but I think Jimmy’s take is probably very close to reality.

At this point, Dak is a afterthought, I think you draft the kid out of Oregon, put him & Lance in a run & shoot and see which one lives. Dak can be a cheerleader for a year then hasta. Kellen with a strong DC/Assistant HC

That person doesn't exist.

You have to just play it out until Dak is no longer here.

That's the only option. Coaching won't matter.
A team always goes where it's leaders take them. Effectiveness comes with reasonable, not popular attention to details behind it. Talent drives the team product when managed and timely.

It's what Jerry is thinking, yes. You just hope that's not what Jimmy actually thinks would be best. It can't be.

The Cowboys overhyped Dak and now they are paying him a contract he will never be worth. Their best plan of action would be to figure out a way to get out of his deal over the next 2 years and get his contract off their books.

Also, teams like Washington and Detroit, and even the Eagles, were built on high draft picks. The Eagles made some trades to accumulate multiple first round picks. The Lions did the same thing when they traded Stafford for Goff. Both teams used those first round picks to grab impact players on both sides of the ball. Also, The Eagles went 4-11-1 in 2020 which also gave them a high first round draft pick. The Lions were losers for year. Maybe the stars are aligning for Dallas to take the same path.

With Washington on the rise and the Eagles already on top, the Cowboys could find themselves drafting early in the first round for a few years. Maybe this is what they need to find impact players and playmakers to lift them back up in a few years. I've said before, I don't think this is going to get fixed in 1 year no matter what Jerry does. There are too many problems with this team, including a fading QB.

They arent the only ones!
On a side note how about the job that Jayden Daniels has done turning the Washington franchise around. And everybody keeps saying it's a team game. Surely you don't believe it was Quinn that turned the franchise around. Without Daniels they wouldn't be where they're at.
Daniels is outstanding, unfortunately for us.

Ben Johnson said to be headed to Vegas and the Brady led ownership group and a big pay out . 6th pick of the draft has to be a QB .

If the Cowboys get Kellen, then it's cause they listened to Dak. Dak will be the most hated man in Cowboys history for me if that happens. How many times can a team pay you and then they need to cater every aspect of their team to make you better.

Jimmy blatantly said that this decision was tied to the QB .

Notice he said : 240 million and can't trade him .

Jimmy knows the cowboys are screwed , otherwise why would he talk about the ' QB no trade clause' when asked about the HC . ???
