In the blue corner weighing in at 249lbs, standing 6'2" tall, and drafted #18 overall in 2006... It's the venerable Bobby Carpenter (affectionately referred to as Barbie)!!!

In the green corner weighing in at 250lbs, standing 6'1" tall, and drafted #5 overall in 2006... Ladies & gentlemen.. How about a big round of applause for AJJJ Hawk!

Finally starting so show signs of life in his 4th NFL season, Bobby Carpenter has amassed 25 tackles and 1 sack while remaining extremely active in the 3-4 defense. AJ Hawk continues to motor coming up with 43 tackles and 1 sack at the midway point.

At 4:15pm tomorrow two beasts that once thrived next to each other at OSU will find themselves on the opposite side of the ball. (yeah I called Carp a beast...lol) For the first time since being drafted, AJ and Bobby are both making solid contributions to their respective team's success. Some would argue that these two guys were an integral part of the best linebacking crew in Ohio State history.

Which one of these two fighters will make the biggest impact on the field Sunday afternoon? You make the call.

Two HUGE busts from the Buckeyes. AJ has (2) 100+ tackle season, but he was never really that effective and he is getting worse as the seasons pass.

Umm, AJ is a bust too for a 5th pick. He is good for a 3 rounder... maybe.

Which is still better than what Bobby has been. He's a solid producer for an undrafted guy I suppose. Maybe even that's a stretch.

Says a guy who probably barely watched Hawk play... Hawk is a bust for 5th pick overall. Both are really not that great for being 1st round picks, but Barbie is way better on pass coverage than Hawk. Hawk is probably better than Carpenter on Run D. But not significantly better.

I would take Bradie James over Hawk anyday.
