It's like having to chose if you want to lose use of your legs or arms.:D

What? That isn't a hard decision! Bye Bye legs...

I'm torn on who we should get in the draft. At our position, are we going to be able to get an immediate starter? I seriously doubt that. Especially considering we had the 18th pick last year and it didn't happen to start. Isn't it a great feeling to know however we have the starting talent that doesn't allow our rookies to start? It is a good problem to have.

Geeze, this draft has Peterson falling to number 12...only 4 spaces ahead of lynch. Maybe this would be a good year to do a bit of wealing and dealing to move up in the draft and catch one of those players that always seems to slide in the draft for one reason or another.

Of course with 10 picks, we could always throw em all against the wall to see what sticks. Can't be wrong on all 10 right? Is the draft here yet?

I think I just threw up in my mouth.

Taking Jarrret over Meechum (sp?) would be just dumb.

Jarret has Mike Williams written all over him, future bust IMO.

I think it's a toss-up between Bowe and Meachem. Equal size and speed. Meachem put up a little better numbers at the combine, but Bowe matched his numbers at his pro day. Bowe had more productive years in college than Meachem, but Meachem had more production in his last year (perhaps because he didn't have a Craig Davis, a 2nd rounder, and an Early Doucet, a future 1st rounder, opposite him taking catches away). I wonder what Bowe would have been able to do if he'd had his eye surgery earlier.

They're both clearly better than Jarrett in my opinion, however.

Of course, I don't follow college ball like I used to, but I was also intrigued by these three wrs. After looking at all three players college careers, Jarrett's numbers are far and away better and more consistent then both Meachem and Bowe.

College gurus could you explain why this is? I am sure qbs, offensive systems have something to do with it, but just don't know about all the Meachem hype if he has only had one good season from the look of his stats.

Jason Hill is my favorite by far. (aside from Calvin Johnson)

And he can be had in the 2nd, maybe 3rd.

He's gonna be nice and alot of teams are going to be kicking themselves for passing on him, IMO.

CB. If there is one worth a first left. Aaron Glenn does not have long and I am not impressed with Reeves and Jones.

I don't see any similarities between them at all. I don't remember seeing Jarret having any trouble getting open or beating people downfield.

Goo... I don't like the pick. I REALLY don't like the pick given who the next 5 players off the board are.

The next 5 picks after our pick are:

Dwayne Bowe
Anthony Spencer
Aaron Ross
Robert Meachum
Chris Houston

With the exception of Ross--who I am not sold on--I'd much, much, much rather have any of the guys selected in the 5 after us over Jarrett.

This draft would make me cry.

Easy there Hos. I remember you and me drooling over USC's Mike Williams a couple offseasons ago. :)

You never know what you will get when you go WR in the draft. But if Meacham or Jarrett fell to us. I'd be on board with either.

Yes, and I am disappointed in Mike Williams because there is no doubt he has the talent. His failure is due to his attitude.

That doesn't mean every WR will take that path.

I think the best thing that could happen to him is to get waived and have to work his butt off to make a team.

I agree. I would rather have Meacham than any of the others except for Johnson and we have NO chance of getting Johnson.

I still think the Raiders are stupid if they don't take him #1.

If A. Peterson drops down to 10. Jerry should give the falcons a call.
Do they have call waiting on the phones at the draft?:) That will be one busy phone line.

I'd rather have Meacham over any other WR except Johnson. This draft is deep at the WR position so we should take advantage of that now--we don't know if next year's draft will be as good at WR since some years they are not.

With both TO & Glenn approaching the mid 30's, we better be prepared for their leaving sooner rather then later--just in case. Crayton is a legit #2 who possibly could be a legit #2--but he's not a #1. Do we really want risk our future at WR on Hurd & Austin? If Meacham is there when we select at #22 I wouldn't have any problem if the Cowboys went for it and took him. I also wouldn't have a problem if they opted the safe pick and drafted a good CB. Frankly I think it will come down to those 2 positions in the first round but only if a guy like Meacham or Houston/Revis/Ross is there--although I think both Revis & Ross probably go a few picks later.

Obviously Cowboys probably have good idea which CBs & WRs will be there in the 2nd & 3rd rounds, so it possible we'll elect to fill one of these positions in the 2nd round. I also think we must get a top LB since we so thin at that position.

While most of us believe Crayton might be a legit #2 WR, the reality is both TO & Glenn don't have more then 1-2 years left at the top and we can't wait love Crayton and I see him as a legit #2 but in reality both TO & Glenn will probably be gone sooner rather then later and we should have a viable #1 on board
I love Crayton but see him as a #2 WR and haven't seen enough of Hurd/Austin to know their potential. Maybe one or both will become #3WRs or better but not sure we can risk that. It's entirely possible forv<aybe due to injury or TOto take into account since we don't know if either will be around d in 08
