The worst thing about the analysis for the Cowboys is that they say the 2nd round TE we drafted doesn't need to catch the ball with Jason Witten around.

Well, why don't we get a 7th round OT to set up at TE if Witten is the only one we can throw to. If that's the case why draft a TE at all?

Some experts are legends in their own mind, and that's about it.

Bennett is way more than a blocking TE, he's going to cause some big problem when Dallas goes two TE sets...

Anyone know what Atlanta gave up to move up to get Sam Baker. That seemed like a huge reach when all the draft guys thought he'd be there at their 2nd round pick.

Really???.....like fasano? We may...MAY run 7 plays all yr from a double tight set. The pick makes sense in the sense that the kid may be a stud, but we aint runnin a double tight set, and witten is 25 and a probowler. So we just spent a 2nd rd pick on another backup TE after doing the same thing a couple yrs ago and trading that player for a 4th rd pick a couple a days ago

If I am not mistaken Adam posted some interesting number yesterday. He mentioned that Fasano was out there for about 27 plays a game, which is about 40% of the game. That is not that bad if Bennett can be out there for around the same amount of snaps. The coaches must not have felt very good about fasano and thought they just get as much value from him as possible before it continues to decrease. That's just my guess, only they know.

I'm going to wait til I see some of these guys play, as well as guys we could have had before I really complain.

I'm excited about what we got. Maybe not what some of us expected, but I can live with it.

Which pick did you like most billy?

I liked the Jenkins pick. Pacman is a question mark, and we really lacked depth at CB last year. Sort of wish we had kept Glenn around last season, but it was good to see what we had in Reeves. Definately addressed that need.

I loved Choice in the 4th. I don't know much about him, but I saw some videos, he looks like a real good RB.

I'm not sure on Felix Jones, I'm not the biggest fan of guys who get by alot on speed in college. That being said, I did not see him play enough to really judge him. I like what I saw from his highlites, and his numbers are great. That said, I love how a guy with that type of speed can be used. We got ourselves a KR, a RB, and a guy who can be moved around the field on offense. So I don't disagree with the pick. Definately added some much needed speed to our offense.

I also really liked how we went ahead and stockpiled a bunch of picks for next year.

Honestly, I feel that alot of people who complain or have pet picks have not seen the players in question play enough.

The cowboys had some of the better grades from all the experts, and no one said anything negative about taking the tight end in the 2nd round.I personally thought they did a really good job.

We run two TE sets quite often, Adams 40% number sounds just about right. The issue with Fasano was that he just wasn't very good when on the field, thus we never noticed him out there.

Wouldn't that more likely make next years draft just average? I'm pretty sure if you start taking any teams picks away it reduces the value if their draft as well.

I didn't mind Philly's draft to be honest. McGlynn will start for them down the road, and I think Laws is a nice fit in there scheme. Jackson was there weakest pick, as he won't contribute much as a receiver....but as a punt returner he definately will. This draft cannot be graded until we see how the Panthers do next season.

To me Atlanta had the worst draft of anyone. With all of those picks I think they ended up with two starters Ryan and Lofton, the rest are special teamers and depth talent....even on the lousy Falcons. Trading up for Sam Baker was atrocious.

As far as the Cowboys go, I am still disappointed they took a limited running back instead of the three down type. I don't have anything against Jones other than he is way too slight for my taste. Mendenhall is going to be a stud (three down)back and the choosing of Jones forced them to use yet another pick on a bigger running back in the fourth round. I am definately in the minority here, but taking two running backs in the first four rounds is foolish in my opinion, especially when the depth at wr, nt (prefer to see Ratliff at end in 09) and lb are not so good.
