NFL's best rivalries ... RIGHT NOW
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/pgStory?contentId=9639076#sport=NFL&photo=9635980

With nearly a century of storied tradition — and a sport built on high intensity, bruising hits and crushing collisions, bitter rivalries were a natural result and have helped power the league's interest for decades. But with all due respect and apologies to old-school rivalries like Packers-Bears and Cowboys-Commanders that helped build this league — which are the tastiest NFL rivalries RIGHT NOW?

In other words, which are the hottest rivalries today, with a major caveat focusing on top teams (apologies to both NFC and AFC West, both of which must improve ASAP to make the list) that currently can't stand each other? Adrian Hasenmayer ranks the Top 10 NFL rivalries going these days.

10. Dolphins vs. Bills

9. Cowboys vs. Eagles: Listen, just about any NFC East game is a virtual 60-minute octagon throwdown. But the level of hatred is sky-high — at least from the Philly faithful — when the Eagles and Cowboys get together. Eagles fans detest everything Cowboys, and while Dallas may not share the same disdain, there is plenty of both past (Michael Irvin getting booed, Jimmy Johnson pelted with snowballs) and recent (T.O. vs. Donovan McNabb, Eagles eliminating Cowboys from playoffs last season) history to keep matchups between these two title contenders stocked with gameday drama.

8. Broncos vs. Chargers

7. Patriots vs. Jets

6. Giants vs. Cowboys: Think two years back when the Cowboys were the team to beat in the NFC, until the hubbub of Tony Romo's secret vacation during the playoff bye week culminated in a shocking upset by the Giants in Dallas — a game which elevated every head-to-head meeting since then to almost Super Bowl-type proportions between the NFC East rivals.

5. Vikings vs. Packers

4. Steelers vs. Titans

3. Giants vs. Eagles

2. Colts vs. Patriots

1. Steelers vs. Ravens

Sadly, the Cowboys have not fared well against NFC East teams in the playoffs. They're 0-1 versus the Cardinals, 0-1 versus the Giants, and 0-2 versus the Skins.

I saw that story..and didn't take it seriously.

The Cowboys vs Commanders is still one of the all-time NFL rivalries.

Wasn't even on there. Hard to take seriously.

They also had Eagles fans as the best fan base..Ok whatever.

Cowboys vs. Commanders???

Hmmmm.

I think the "right now" part comes into play there. While the Commanders have made better headway into the playoffs than us recently, no one really considers them a contender year in and year out. That takes some of the pomp out of the rivalry IMO.

The Cowboys? Well, everyone will always hate us...even when we're losing. That's what makes us special.

Well to be honest, right now I care more about whooping up on the Eagles and Giants. I used to not give a rip about the Giants but the last few years too many of them have been running their mouths.

Eagles #1
Giants #2
Skins #3 (distant 3rd at that)

as much as I hate and despise everything about the Commanders the Giants have been more of a thorn in our sides and a better rival of late. The players hate each other both teams run their mouths to each other and we just match up so well against each other.

I don't know where you guys are coming off bawking at Steelers/Ravens. That's definitely a rivalry. The Steelers got the better of it last year, but if you watched those games I don't know how you could say that. Those teams just kill each other.

Steelers/Titans is too high though. That has the potential to be a Steelers/Ravens esque "punch each other in the face until someone falls'" type rivalry, but it's not there yet.

2-1 against Philly too, like the old adage says, its difficult to beat a team thrice in a season and Dallas has a history of dominating the division when it meets rivals in the post season.

Dallas beat the Commanders in the regular season in both the 1972 and 1982 seasons, beat everyone in the division to be the only clean sweep at 8-0 in 1998 to lose to Arizona the third time they met, and of course they beat the Giants by double digits in both meetings in 2007 before falling short in post season.

You're 2-5 when you play a division rival in the postseason? How is that dominating?

You really have poor reading comprehension if you aren't able to ascertain the post was about the difficulty of beating a team thrice in a season.

I do think the BAL/PITT game is a very physical game but the Ravens haven't been in the league that long. IOWs their rivalry shouldn't be like the Skins and Boys.
