News: Fox: Tony Romo arrested in Milwaukee for OWI

wboc.com

“A vial of Romo’s blood, drawn at 8:55 p.m. on July 23, 2026, at West Allis Memorial Hospital, is currently at the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene. National coverage has focused almost entirely on the number that vial will produce.”

VARGHESE SUMMERSETT
“That number is very likely irrelevant, not because it will be low, but because of when the State got it, and what the deputy knew at the moment she decided Tony Romo was no longer free to leave,” said Varghese. “This case was decided at 6:18 p.m. on July 23, on the shoulder of I-43 south of Canal Street, when a man who had not yet performed a single field sobriety test was placed in a car and driven to jail.”
Don't know who this Varghese Summersett is, but Tony was not "driven to jail," he was taken to a safer spot to perform a field sobriety test that we all saw him fail.

You do love your technicalities.

It was a football move and satisfied the rule.

Tony was taken to a parking garage not jail

Voorhees Somerset is a law firm in Texas.

And for the spelling police I know that's not how you spell it I'm using talk to text

What "parking garage"?

Are you with Marcus...these police officies did not know how to perfrom a safe roadside test? Taking to some random mysterious "parking garage"?

I don;t know...I'm honestly asking you not challenging.

Oh...It looked like you knew exactly where it was. Sorry.

Lotta people get highway tested. Moving to some mysterious "safer spot" is kinda weird.
It's probably not a good idea to test on a highway that busy and a shoulder that small unless you're going to block off a lane. Also, no one knows how drunk a someone could be and if he stumbles during one of the exercises, he could head right out into traffic then there's a different problem on your hands.

The neutral site works better because no one can claim they were "distracted" by passing traffic during the tests, etc. So that's what makes these results all the more interesting the way they unfolded.

So I want to know...since you know all this. How many tests are performed side of road and how many tests are performed in some secret parking garage?

If you know...great. If you don't know, that's fine too.

I don't know all this. This is just likely logic and liability avoidance.

I tried to find out what garage it was and who owned the garage and could not get anything on that.

I enlarged the picture and couldn't see anything written in the garage either that told where it was.

Not sure exactly where they took him or if that was standard procedure

Yes I have to admit I don't drink have never driven drunk but I have driven when I was overly tired and should have pulled over.

And in my opinion that's probably just as bad but considered more socially acceptable if you nod off behind the wheel you become an unguided missile and put everyone at risk.
Imagine being 18 and driving with a lady friend all over you. Talk about a guided missles!! Lol, in all seriousness, there are many things that are distracting. I was driving home from college and a lady was on the highway watching a car accident as she passed, the 18 wheeler in front slowed down and the lady ran into it, killing her instantly. Her passenger was hysterical, may have been her daughter. Cops were already there, stopped all traffic, being the first in line, i could see that poor girl sobbing and the lady was cut, literally, in half.

One of my friends wife and brother were coming back from a funeral in a rainstorm.

They went under the back of a rollback tow truck and pretty much the same thing happened.

Very tragic.

I stopped driving the Northeast extension in rain or any other bad weather after having a woman passed me in a violent rainstorm then lose control go up on the side of the bank flip her car upside down across my hood and land in the other lane.

I escaped unscathed this was 3 years ago haven't driven that turnpike in the rain again

Also, there was no glare from the setting sun to blind the QB.

What are we at like 20 days now still no results as to what the blood alcohol level was.

This is ridiculous I guarantee somebody knows just not letting it out yet.

You're right. Let's all speculate on what the holdup is. You think Tony and his people are "negotiating" what the results are for PR purposes? Money talks and Tony potentially has a lot at stake here.

Speculating here, but I don't think the results would become public record until they are entered into court records as evidence. If the results didn't favor the prosecution, they may not be entered as evidence and wouldn't be public record.

Yes I would consider a 17 million the year job having a lot of stake.

I'm not sure what type of negotiating is going on but,
When you're worth as much as Tony is and have friends like Jerry there's a better than average chance that you can acquire some very Superior legal counsel that can get you out of this mess.

If the blood work comes back below the limit I would think that bodes pretty well for Tony
