Ummm I believe Jerry Jones will get Darren McFadden in a Cowboys uniform come hell or high water...:laugh2:

 Not sure why that cracks you up, but i tend to agree, unless Cleveland's pick is outside the top 8. :)

Michael Turner is to some Cowboys fans as Herschel Walker was to the Vikings front office.

For my last post until the season is over (unless there is some subject that I have to partake in), I have been telling you guys how good "The Burner" is. He will get paid. His skill set will see to that. The teams that I would hate to see MT on is Baltimore, Pittsburgh, N.E. or Denver (they have Travis Henry now so maybe they are off the market). Watch a few Charger games and you will see what I am talking about.

I am one of "Those" that thinks he is gonna be a breakout back. For a guy with, as you say, his "skill set" i can't believe he has carried the ball a total of 157 times in 3 years. His average is 6 yards per carry. What scares the HELL out of SOME Cowboys fans that couldn't judge a fat girl contest from a playboy model contest is, he has similar stats to a guy named HAM BONE. Give Turner the ball 200 times and see what happens. Turner, MBIII, and TT would be STRONG!!

what i think is going to be a problem is people are going to be "selling" themselves on mcfadden all year long. must have, problem to fix and so forth.

then if it works out to where we *don't* get him so many people will label the draft a bust.

say we give up a 3rd for turner, draft (2) BPAs in the 1st and what the heck, a CB in the 2nd just for eduncan (could be (2) CB's also) it wouldn't be a bad draft at all.

one of the reasons why i hate all the early speculation is it leads to later disappointment and heated discussion due to tunnel vision.

not saying that's what *you* are going to do - just using your thread to say why i don't care for the pre-mature drafting.

I wouldn't be upset with that.

Personally, I'd rather have a younger back, someone that has a good 8 years or so in front of him. Turner is already 25. He'll be 26 before next season. That's about 4-5 "Prime" years from him. Still, if we got him and that draft scenario, I'd be happy.

Hell, it wouldn't even have to be McFadden though. We could go with whoever with our first pick, and then get Rice or Slaton with our next pick... that's not too bad either.

There was absolutely NOTHING wrong with Walker's talent while he was with the Vikes. Blame the vikings COACHES for not utilizing him to his strengths. Making him run running plays that start off east/west instead of lining him up deep in the "I" formation was why he didn't succeed in Minnesota.

I am with you on that one. I would have to say, "no thanks" to Turner. I want our own young stud to be the face of our running game. McFadden, Slaton, or Rice (in that order) would do it for for me. I would rather have DMac though, so let's hope that Cleveland can somehow do worse than the Raiders this season.

I agree. Hopefully we will not have to trade both our first rounders to get him ....

But I would do it for Cleveland's first and our second rounder in a heartbeat.

Hambone was (is still) fat and lazy...

Turner strikes me as the opposite...

I don't think he was referring to how Minny (mis)used Walker, but how the FO traded almost two drafts for him.

At least that's how I took it.
