Because they grew up with everything handed to them and never having to earn anything. Thus, they don't appreciate anything or the value of hard work. Now they are in their 20's and mommy and daddy are probably not handing them everything on a silver platter and they don't know how to handle it. Whatever kind of living they are making is probably nowhere near what they are accustumed to. You get the picture.

Doesn't this year for the Eagles remind us of our own '97 season? If memory serves, that team had an even better one than its previous SB winners(on paper, that is). We started out the season smacking the Steelers in Pitt, but thanks to distractions, lack of discipline by the coaching staff, etc, we were just up and down, up and down throughout the first half, then Switzer slowly but surely lost control of the team, and the entire team chemistry finally imploded in the last half of the season.

This is exactly what I see with the Eagles early on. For a team that models itself by following their calm, composed, and stoic HC, they sure lost their cool quite a few times in that Giants game(especially at the end where the Eagles' D looked like they were throwing punches at the Giants' O-Line).

Yeah-it's not like they've been getting blown-out every game(if it weren't for a few fluke plays, they would be 4-0). However-you can tell, just by his personnel moves and decision makings so far this year, that his personal issues are affecting his work for the worst.(watching the Eagles' D throwing punches at the Giants' O-Line at the end was very unusual) It was alot like our '97 season-we had alot of talent on paper, and all of our losses in the 1st half of the season were nail-biters we should have won(thanks to bad decisions and poor discipline)-but there were just distractions from Barry on down that had a negative effect on the team, and we ultimately imploded at the end.

BTW-who was it that said "This game is about inches"? Yeah-it seems like football is 10% physical and 90% mental.
