Not Bad, someone like Choice or Rice should be there in the second round.

Rather have Felix Jones or Chris Johnson than Manningham.

Yeah, I think Manningham is a bit overrated. After seeing the Lions waste so many #1s on WRs and the Saints picking up Colston in the very late rounds. I think good WRs could be found in the later rounds. Of course that could be said of almost every position, but I think it is even more true with WRs.

Possibly so. I don't know if you can go into any draft thinking "Hey we'll just fine the next Colston or Steve Smith or whatever in the later rounds."

Of course that could be said for thinking you have to get one in the early rounds as well.

I really like Flex Jones rb ark.....that is who we should get.

The one RB I'd really like to get is Ray Rice. That guy is a pure runner, knows how to play football as opposed to just using athleticism.

I think he'll be a legit starter (quality wise) for a long time in this league.

I'm starting to lean the direction of not taking a WR in the first round.

Thank you.

Now unless you encounter someone like CJ, you should pass on drafting a WR in the first round. This year Jerry has two chances of making a mistake and going after a WR. I hope he uses those two first rounders wisely and pick up a CB and a safety this year in the first. Plenty of RBs will be available in the 2nd and 3rd.

We know! We know! :lmao:

Every mock that doesn't have Felix in it, you gotta bring up the guy.

What safety are you going to draft in the 1st round that you think would be of good value and how is that less of a mistake than taking a WR in the first?

Kenny Philips, Miami (if we have the chance to get him). It would be less of a mistake because we need to secure that position. I am not trying to bash RW or anything, but lately, he has been average at best.

He'll be gone lone before the 22nd pick, or at least has been projected to in every mock I've seen.

I'll be surprised, shocked, flabbergasted, and dumbfounded to see Dallas select any RB in round 1 unless we let Barber walk and draft DMac or Jonathan Stewart. These other guys are not franchise RBs and you'd be crazy to select any of them in round 1.

We are in desperate need at CB, WR.

We can improve our starters/rotations at LG, ILB, FB, NT, S...I say NT because I really think we'll improve at DE by moving Ratliff there next year.

We may need more depth at QB, OLB...OLB is assuming Ellis leaves.

We definitely need role players to improve at Special Teams, punt return.

If we resign MBIII, I don't see any way in the world we'll tie up money and a first round draft pick on a change of pace back, no matter how good he is. I think we definitely take:

CB, WR/NT/ILB/NT in round 1 or

CB & trade down into round 2 with the later pick.

how can you say we're in "desperate" need of a receiver? I think TO is pretty good. Crayton should be a lock @ the nickel receiver. So we have all those young guys including Stanback, along with the possibility of Glenn. Yea they should definitely consider the position but I don't think it's a desperate need.

Vomit, vomit, vomit.

No to Jenkins. No, no, no. HELL NO if McKelvin is still on the board. And what's with Cason going #20? Uh... no. (Sorry Hostile). Cason isn't a top 5 CB and will probably go late 2nd round.

And Manningham? HEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLL NO do we take a Michigan WR. Rules of Life:
1. Never start a land war in Asia.
2. Never take a Michigan WR in the first round.
Definitely not one who is under 6 foot tall and ran nothing but fly patters in college.

If we went Jenkins-Manningham when we could go Jonathan Stewart-McKelvin, I'll have to go on a bender until opening day.

I don't necessarily think that taking a WR in the first round would be a bad idea. 1st rounders taken at any position have a chance of being a complete bust.

I would prefer a CB and a RB to be taken with our first two picks. But if a big name WR falls into our laps, it would not surprise me to see Jerry and Wade make the move. But then again, who says Jerry won't do something off the wall, and package a deal to get McFadden? Oh the drama!

The draft couldn't get here soon enough.
