Frascella ranks the No.1 Edge rushers for each NFL team

Yea, only if we had kept Lawrence, we would’ve won the Super Bowl.

It's no surprise that our playoff drought coincides our defensive drought. We haven't had an elite defense since the 90s because offense is what Jerry cares about most.
Agreed 1000%. That was a Jimmy thing not Jerry in the early 90s. The 92 team had the number 1 defense with not one pre bowler.

Yeah the triplets were great, but our defenses won us those super bowls.

Well it seems like having a few good pass rushers vs 1 great one is another way to go. Look at the Seahawks.
I am not disputing that. The post I referred to implied that we gave the Super Bowl to Seattle because we didn’t retain DLaw and they did.

We heard that last year when we were told that our platoon of ends and Eberflus’ scheme would easily make up for the loss of an elite pass rusher.

I suppose you did say “good” …

I believe Micah should have stayed at LB and would’ve been elite there. Moving to edge was the worst thing for him, at least from a team perspective. Maybe not for his pocketbook though. He’s a one trick pony now and a liability against the run.
If he’s a liability against the run the ball hat makes you think he’d be a good linebacker?

Problem for him is he’s all talent. He doesn’t have great instincts at linebacker. Some guys aren’t nearly as gifted but their instincts are quick. I saw nothing to suggest he’d be a better linebacker than pass rusher. He made the right decision to me. Be a elite pass rusher or a good but flawed linebacker.

I think that was the hope. No one knew none of our guys would develop. Eze, Sam and Kneeland were good prospects with a bad DC. And possibly bad dline coach. Whitecotton seems like hype too.

And we gave up 5 straight TDs to Jordan Love even when we had what they say is the best pass rusher on 2 teams.

I say he’d be a better linebacker if he wasn’t selfish. He can stop the run but he made a business decision to only go after sacks for the moolah. He has freakish catch up speed and showed it plenty as LB. He knows how to tackle. Also, he may not be the most instinctive, but his speed made up for it plenty.

But see that’s how guys get caught in end arounds and over pursuing. It’s tough to know since he didn’t get a chance to develop there like he did at edge. One of the best pass rushers I’ve ever seen. Finding linebackers shouldn’t have been that hard as they made it.

Kendrick’s was actually not bad. It was the Murray and Sanburn signings that really messed things up.

It’s true, we didn’t get to see Micah fully develop at LB, but I really think he would have flourished. Just my inexpert opinion.

Yeah I mean ultimately we can’t stop the run. There were some things at every level that just lacked the skill to do it. Corners soft, safeties out of position, linebackers ***, defensive tackles ***. They’ve improved at every level but linebacker. M that’s gonna be key.

What did the team win when 3 and 18 were here at the same time?
Does that mean both players didn't play at an elite level? No, it's not their fault Jerry couldn't figure out how to take advantage of their talent. Someone posted a list of former Cowboys players starting for other teams around the league. Guess it's their fault that we didn't win while they were here, too.

Edge rushers is what they call the position. They do that because some are DEs and some are OLBs. "Clearly."
So yout putting your own spin on it? They put it clearly each teams best EDGE RUSHER. idk what you don't understand about it. Because if it was overall Micah wouldn't even be top 10. Let's be real

Actually it simply says "edge rankings," so you put your own spin and I missed it.

I was offering an explanation for why they are grouped how they are.

The truth is idc. Argue that.

Uh….

Then factor in he’s started fewer games due to injury than Garrett. He’s a phenomenal pass rusher
