@JosinaAnderson: Filed to ESPN: Leslie Frazier just text me "going to Tampa." Frazier then told me he will be the next defensive coordinator for the Bucs.

Even though I think we were going heavy on defense I think this seals it.
Strong defensive draft.

As long as he takes over for Kiffin, I'm cool with that. We can't have one of the most statistically inept defenses in NFL history remain the status quo for another year.

Media has been talking today about Kiffin being bumped up to a sr consultant role, and Marinelli taking over defensive calls

I'm ok with that although I don't why Kiffin would do that unless it involves not being fired and/or money....esp the and part.

He's just not ready to leave the game. Still loves it. I would rather have somebody who loves what he does then somebody in for the pay. I still say you get those returning vets and work them this offseason. None of that sit out days they;ve been having and you get a team thats prepared.

That's good for me as well.

That is frustrating. Really wanted Frazier here.

That's ok, too. I think the D will be good if they are healthy and they fill a couple of holes. I'm hoping despite the odds they will be able to keep either Spencer and/or Hatcher. At their age it might be best they don't.

I'm secretly hoping that we get Spencer on a cheap one year deal. Get a DT and developmental DE in the draft. Go to war.

Don't get me wrong I'm not some huge Jerry supporter, but you've got to think he said no to Marinelli if Frazier did sign with Tampa. Who knows maybe Stephen had more to do with it but I'm glad we're not being the nice guys for once. Marinelli as DC is great news IMO. Even if he was co-coordinator he wasn't calling the plays I'd like to see what happens when he calls the play. Who knows it could be just as bad but i would rather find out with a guy who had highly ranked defenses and who knows our personel then someone else

Probably will be able to keep 1 of them at 1 or 2 yr deals around 4.5 mil per. Getting Ware off the books does wonderous things for the future of the Cowboys defense. DeMarcus Ware will always be a Cowboy but should be somewhere else next season. The defense will be good if we draft defense in 2014 - the depth is horrendous currently.
