Man it sure seems like the team has been super quiet about Fred Beard. Anyone heard anything about his progress/rehab?

The fact that we aren’t hearing anything means either there has been no significant improvement or it is getting worse. It is likely that it has already been decided he has no chance to play this year. If he was improving and they thought he could play again soon, we would have heard about it.

Means that Fred is not on twitter posting his every medical update. Jaylon fueled the debate with his clear eye view. The FO never said a word. Medical issues are touchy when it comes to privacy.

He is on IR, so it's not like he could return to practicing even if he was cleared of GBS.
But yea, in todays social media age, something would be leaked out by a player, drunk Jones or Beard himself.
I do believe now he is done for the year, IMO.

I'm not sure why so many expect him to never play again. Mark Schlereth got bad enough I think he had to be put on a respirator and he was back to playing at a high level in about two years, IIRC.

why Looney has shown to be a good Center, the more he plays the more he shows he can be the starter..sure wed love Tfred back asap but should he retire Looneys the starter and we get backups..we dont have a #1 so we have bigger prioritys then center

Safety and possibly TE first..heck if you were looking at a postion for the furture Left Tackle might be time to at least plan for..

I would think there would be updates if he was progressing enough to be optimistic. If he were to be even cleared tomorrow he is going to take time to get back in football shape. My guess is I don’t think he is back until mini camp at the earliest.

Two weeks ago he said he is feeling much better and that a week 14 return is his goal.

Looney has been great but he's not a highly regarded center he's a killer back up and may have to do next year.
Left tackle is other spot your right. TE would be my chose if Fred beard makes it back

I don't think the team was all that forth coming about Jaylon as many think. There were a few things here and there. But not until he was about to start practicing before they said anything regular, which still was not a lot.
It was more the fans on here and the media that was talking about it every day.
Did not help though Jaylon sent cryptic tweets at times. But turned out he was right.

And this is an entirely different situation.
A nerve regretting, ton ACL, or whatever the injury is. It is expected a full recovery at some point. TFred's you just do not know.
