Fred Ward, 'The Right Stuff' and 'Short Cuts' actor, dead at 79 - CNN

Liked everything i saw him in, Remo Williams, The Right Stuff. Southern Comfort, Escape from Alcatraz, Uncommon Valor and of course Tremors.
RIP.

Oh man. I liked him also. Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins was really low budget but I was almost certain it would be the first chapter of several movies to come. Never happened. Ward and Joel Grey were a good match in that movie.

If you get the chance, watch "Cast a Deadly Spell" in which he plays a detective in times of magic.

He did some fine work in his career, and from all I ever heard he was a stand up guy as well.
