With all the adult material you can access online and on satellite it's hard to believe people still go to adult theaters. When I was 16 years old me and a couple of friends went to an adult theater and they let us in. There' was only about 6 people in there one guy was sitting there with shades on and appeared to be wearing a raincoat. I'll never forget sitting down and feeling my feet stick to the floor.

When your feet stick to the floor at an adult theater the first thought that pops in your mind (pardon the pun) isn't soda pop. I think I'm more scarred by the image of that dude in shades wearing a raincoat than that sticky feeling under my feet.

I found that experience so uncomfortable I never went into another one. I grew up well before the Internet came into our lives. When I was a kid having cable TV meant you had a grand total of about 9 channels none of which were on 24/7 unless you liked getting up at 3 am and viewing a test pattern.

There was no Playboy channel or Spice Network. Porn for me was an episode of Love American style. I could understand people going to adult theaters back then but with all the adult material available online in the privacy of your own home it makes no sense now.

Actor Fred Willard arrested for alleged lewd act in adult theater

Actor and comedian Fred Willard was arrested on suspicion of engaging in a lewd act at an adult theater in Hollywood, police said Thursday.

The 72-year-old actor was arrested about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday by uniformed vice officers doing a routine inspection at the Tiki Theater in the 5400 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, said Los Angeles police Sgt. Chuck Slater.

Slater said officers observed Willard "engaged in a lewd act" but did not elaborate.
