I didn't get to see the game yet but I don't see any "we should have drafted Floyd" threads here which is nice. I checked the box score and saw no tackles or assists or sacks for Floyd. I wondered if he was even active. Then I saw S. Floyd had a return for -1 yards. I remember Floyd fumbling a kickoff return a game or two ago. Was Floyd injured this game? Did he play much?

Would it be a stretch to say that our last minute replacements on the DL like Drake Nevis, Hayden, Selvie, Brown, etc are outplaying Floyd so far? I haven't seen many Vikings games so far. From what little I have seen of Floyd so far this year, I am glad Jerry made the right decision.

He had a couple pressures, and I want to say he drew two penalties (hands to the face and facemask), though I dont remember if they were both him for sure.

He was active, but not someone to rue

Forget about Floyd. I missed the game as well and am more interested in knowing how Bernadeau played.

I meant to post a comment on that hands-to-the-face penalty.

It seemed to me that both the defender AND OL were putting their hands in the face.

Yea that was one of a number of iffy calls that went against the Cowboys. There was that and the two offensive PI calls, and the spot on that catch by the FB that looked pretty shady, that were just, if you ask me, god awful.

Calling Scandrick for a hold was the iffyest one to me. How do you call that but not every single play that Dez is mugged 10 yards downfield?

NOTE: There was a play where Scandrick DID hold and got away with it on a crossing route. Not the play I'm talking about lol.

Maybe we should wait a couple of seasons before we declare victory.

If what I saw yesterday was any indication there definitely would've been a place for Floyd on this defensive line. A few nice pressures on passing situations. I dont have any issues with the Frederick pick tho

Lets face it. The refs are out for the Cowboys. Whats more baffling is out statue of a head coach would just stand there looking dumbfounded and never work the refs. If Garrett keeps letting this go, other teams will keep doing it because they know they can get away with it. Garrett needs to be a headcoach and start pointing this out. Do something proactive for once!

Thought the same thing. Sure looked like they were both locked on each others mask

I wasn't surprised about the bad calls yesterday considering it was Jeff Triplette's crew officiation the game.

lol, he actually gets away with a fair amount of grabbing and that sort of thing...though you're right about the one they did call. That was awful

Did anyone else notice the horrible spotting of the ball?

I did. If I had seen the game live I would have been livid. Because I knew the outcome, it didn't matter so much but the Vikes were given no less than two or three first downs and the Cowboys denied at least one by poor spots.

I thought the two offensive PI's were pretty spot on. Witten had a pretty blatant push off, and Dez tried to wrap the CB up to keep him from getting to the ball.

Also, I think it should be noted that Sharif Floyd would likely have some one-on-one opportunities against an undrafted FA in Leary and recent scrub benchwarmer in Bernadeau. Unless he was doublt-teamed the whole game. Given his competition, one would have likely expected Floyd to have a monster game. He didn't.

You could call that crap on every play. Witten's was only a penalty b/c the guy fell down.
