It proved to me something that is true of the internet and the national sports media. The fans who hate Jerry/garrett hated the drafting of frederick and said he couldn't play, called him a fat pud who is a terrible athlete and said Jerry drafted him on his own. Secondly, there is no such thing as a draft expert. Never has been never will be. Its just noise.

Ed werder said he was told by multiple teams frederick was a 4th 5th or 6/7 th round draft pick. Funny stuff intended to feed the noise. Mayock was shocked because he had him as a third rounder. etc etc.

btw Did elam or floyd get extensions yet?

Floyd is a rotational guy, in Minny, IIRC Baltimore did not pick up Elams 5th year option.

I remember that draft and several people telling me the Frederick - Sharrif Floyd trade was proof positive that Jerry was incompetent.

Also on Werder, I'm sure several teams did rate him that low. It just shows how improved our drafting is lately.
