Frederick Restructure

So, Irving will be done soon, which would leave ~6-7 mil free, right?

There abouts. But don't expect them to eat up the $7M.

They want some wiggle room for the rookies and also whatever piece of trash signing we make in about a week after everything is picked over.

I agree. IMO we'll restructure another deal if we are going to be signing those bargain bin players again.

our rookies are not going to cost much this year unless we move up in the first rd. About #2 million or so will take care of them.

The FO usually likes to have around $5 million or so during the season just in case.

About $4 million under now, with Fredrick restructure then we would be $11 million under. Martin probably signs his new contract on the 14th which will be $70 million for 5 years and $35 million guaranteed but his cap number this year will be around $6 million so then we should be around $18 million under the cap but then the tender on Irving between $3 and $4 million unless as rumored Dallas is working with the Colts on a trade for Irving, Scandrick and Hanna in a package deal that we would get the #36 pick but also we would end up with around $23 million altogether under the cap.

Nice thing to hear was Dallas was working the phones to try and get Watkins or Robinson but money was to insane.

Expected that. Good decision too. Still young, healthy and has a great beard. Instead of finding Waldo, it's finding money for Martin. My kids loved finding Waldo!!

Link for this rumored trade? Stupid to trade Irving when you get premier interior pass rush production for $4 mil this year

Are all of these scenarios based on any information you have or just opinion?

Any chance you could share where you heard that from?

What is the rumor about the trade with the Colts, first I seen this. So 3 players, and 2 that would probably been cut anyway for a high 2nd round? Hmmm, that may be tempting. Hate to lose Irving, but dang, #36 overall. Very hard to pass up. We can get a DT and a LB replacing both and get players to contribute right away.

More restructures will come when needed. The cowboys like to wait and do them as they need them other teams do them early.

Planned all along. I wonder if we'd done this in January, what folks would have complained about the last three months

problem is the can keeps being kicked down the road. When a player such as Romo is done. then we are left with dead money. But what do I know.

the rumor was a poster here suggesting it as a deal he thought up. that's it.

Yes, the FO doesn't do common sense expected stuff until the last minute so fans gave something to complain about. Had nothing to do with their ineptitude and incompetence and poor prioritization

Makes total sense in bizarre AbeBeta land probably
