Based on what we have been hearing, here is my prediction of which in-house fa's return:
,
-"The Six"-Dak (Franchised), Cooper, Cobb, Jarwin, Collins (1yr), Brown (1yr)
-One of Lee/Joe Thomas returns, Crawford accepts reduced salary, Woods signs his tender

Free agency Objectives:

1) find a legitimate 1 tech NT that can play in any scheme or formation. Tons of players available, which should drive the prices down.

2) sign a bridge starting caliber CB to compete to replace Bryon Jones.

3) sign a mid tier starting Strong Safety. Von Bell or Karl Joseph type. Neither should break the bank.

Draft Strategy:

1) Draft a future starting CB. Have him compete to become the starter day 1.

2) Draft a defensive interior lineman who at least can be apart of the rotation day 1, starter down the line.

3) Draft a big possession type of receiver, no matter if it is a WR or TE, one who can help in the redzone.

I hope they try to add some speed on offense. One of the speedy WRs would be nice, Ruggs would be the ultimate.

You forgot DE...left out resigning Quinn and didn’t mention drafting 1. Without Quinn we are in real trouble beyond DLaw at pass rusher.

I like a strategy where they try to fill as many holes as possible in free agency, including signing their own so they can draft BPA. Drafting for position leads to picking Taco Charlton.

1) Doesn't exist
2) Doesn't upgrade your roster over Lewis/Chido/Brown
3) Doesn't upgrade your roster over Heath

Ehh on Bell at S. He probably won't cost all that much less than someone like Tre Boston, who is a much better S than Bell and is better than Heath.

My mistake, meant to have Quinn in the six priorities. Remove Collins.

Front Office is still high on Xavier Woods at the Free Safety position. Last year they were targeting more strong safety types. Von Bell was pff's #1 safety against the run. Boston/Ha Ha are more coverage safeties that fit the FS position.

He was?

I just looked at Bell's PFF grade for 2019 and it was worse than Heath's.

Boston can and has played both. He's a non-starter though as Dallas just doesn't want to bring him in it seems.

Neither does the rest of the league, for some reason. He's out on the street every season even after playing well. Maybe in a league of 1500 players one guy is going to fall through the cracks, maybe he likes peeing in the owners' sports cars Charles Haley style. I don't know.

Bell's best attribute is playing the run, has issues in coverage. Over the last few years, there has been rumblings about Boston being a bad locker room type of guy. Not sure if that's true or not, but it's not just the Cowboys who don't want him. We need a box safety who is strong against the run first, would be a plus if they can hold up in coverage and be a legitimate 3 down player.

Bell is a flawed player. And he graded out worse than Heath on PFF. I think we could do better.

Yeah, I agree, but we aren't going to be able to address all defensive needs in 1 off-season. Team is going to have to fill in some of the gaps. I really have my doubts the front office will use a premium selection at the position.

best player at position of need.
just a guess.
CB,S,DE,DT,WR...in no particular order.

I actually like the order of your draft and the approach.

- sign a FA DT (doesn’t have to be NT)
- sign a FA FS ( SSs are easier to draft and then have Woods be a nickel/dime player
- re-sign Quinn

Draft:

1. Henderson
2. Madibuke
3. Pittman

if we could get a safety, R Jones for example and a big DT (Snacks, J Phillips, M Pierce, etc) in FA I think that would be enough to allow freedom in the draft.
