Free Agency Strategy!

We have too many holes to be trading away picks. Don't be surprised if we trade back to get more picks.
i highly expect we'll trade back to regain that 4th rd pick ( WR Mingo)

Didn't we do the same last year in 2024 fourth round per regaining back the Trey Lance pick ?

I don't see a WR in the 1st under any circumstances. Simply because it doesn't help fix either one of the two biggest problems with this team.
Wasn't that the thinking of draft fans in NFL draft class of 2021 when many were lobbying for a defensive linemen for a porous defense .
per ex LSU DE K'Lavon Chaisson
.
Yet McClay took the very best player available accord to value of their draft board in CeeDee Lamb, (even though we already had Amari Cooper/Mike Gallup)
Club saw a blue chip player and thought not to pass him up just for the sake of pure position need. Not for the sake of reaching, ..that seems the goal.

- With Overshown on career mend, and only Marist at LB, who else do we have at LB ?
Without Hendricks we only have one active legit LB, Damon Clark is JAG. i could see us drafting another off LB within round two and three, not out of question.

Hendricks return would depend upon DC Eberflus and his Tampa 2 scheme,..and cap boy Stephen,..
i reckon he would be cheap considering his age, durability and limitations. He's already age 33 and not fleet footed. Marist will be starting Mike but wheres' the
off ball OLBs ? be great to have some kinda help in FA for a vet off ball LB
The front seven is severely lacking in depth and enough talent to win in this league, and they also don’t have enough speed/playmakers on offense.

That couldn’t be fixed by a motivated and talented front office in one off season. By the time they could possibly fix it…IF everything goes right, where is the QB physically at that point?

Then you have to eat his dead money AND find his replacement. This team is dead for a while. I’m just looking forward to Jerry humiliating himself along the way. Ought to be good.

I truly hate to put it that way, but I ain’t the one who put this team in that spot, and there’s no hindsight involved.
