Very solid effort OP.
I'd start with my own and keep Jourdan Lewis and 1 of the SDE's. Golston or DLaw.
I'd offer Rush a deal that gave him bonuses for games played.
I'd be very tempted to bring Hendricks back. Felt like he was key to the few games to good defense we played last year. If he is interested, I'd do it.
FA:
Tre'von Moerig, Safety, 25 years old.
https://www.nfl.com/players/trevon-moehrig/
Dallas needs to move on from at least one of the safeties. Tre'von was a guy I targeted out of the draft that played his ball at TCU and is from Texas.
Big time playmaker that can cover a lot of ground and play man.
Former early pick of the Raiders who was brought in under another staff. Ripe for stealing IMHO.
Levi Onwuzurike, DT, 27 years old.
https://www.nfl.com/players/levi-onwuzurike/
Levi is from Allen, TX all of 10 minutes from The Star.
He has battled back injuries and probably can't play every down but is a really good option as a rotation player.
Will be tough to poach because they love him in Detroit but the injuries and his need to share reps should keep his salary in check and we are home.
Plays behind Osa on regular downs but shifts beside him for pass rush.
Neither of these guys are monster signings nor are they sexy.
But they are sneaky good upgrades IMO from the area that could boost your roster.
I'd really work to get these done on day 1 of FA.
Did a mock draft that gave me this:
12.
Tetairoa McMillan WR Arizona
Dallas loves getting the best player at a position and a walk in starter in R1.
44.
Tyleik Williams DT Ohio State
Monster in middle of tOSU defense. Can split reps with Mazi.
76.
TreVeyon Henderson RB Ohio State
Not a big tOSU fan lol but this fell this way. Great value at RB in this round IMHO.
150.
Kyle McCord QB Syracuse
Took a swing at a QB who can be a backup on the cheap. Former 5-star kid that got caught in tOSU 5-star shuffle at tOSU.
So post draft I need a LB still pretty bad and I didn't get a CB I would have loved to see fall into great draft value.
Head back to FA here post draft.
