I can't recall the last time the Cowboys picked up 9 players from outside the organization, and they still have cap room to add more. Not saying any of these signings are anything more than depth pieces, but at least they are trying.

The big question is whether it's better to sign nine functional depth players that fill multiple needs; or two or three "big name" guys that make headlines.

I think something 30% of the roster was unsigned and they brought a few guys back. I don't think it was ever going to be a question of if they would be active. I think the real is do they make actual upgrades

Kupp. Now that is someone they absolutely need to bring in. As of right now, they brought in camp bodies and depth. Only starters that they brought in are Murray, and Fowler.

Quite literally everyone else is trying to either finish their career on a high note, or needs a "change of scenery".

Exactly. You can bring in all the bodies you want. Its if they are upgrading or staying the same, or in some cases getting worse.

Truthfully, we have no way of knowing yet if we got better,same,worse. Long way to go before this becomes evident.
