Now that we officially didn't address safety in the draft do we finally consider Tre Boston, Kenny Vaccaro, or Eric Reid?

31 other teams haven't considered them, not just the Cowboys. There are probably reasons.

Could be any number of reasons.

Bringing one in would be smart. Heath, Frazier, Woods and whatever else we have on the roster isn’t good enough IMO.

Dallas knows who's out there.

Their asking prices have been said to be too high (that can change going forward), and Dallas seems to deem them all as SS fits when they want a FS.

Yes, you consider them but supposedly they all are still asking for way too much money. In time their price will come down and they may even want to take a one year prove it deal. I wouldn't be surprised if some of these guys don't sign until right before training camp.

Woods was a rookie, & played pretty damn well. calm down

Woods really isn’t my concern actually. But he’s still an unknown.

People thinking the safety position is in good shape are whistling past the graveyard IMO.

I'm not opposed to signing one of them. I'm just not as convinced as some seem to be that it's a necessity. The guys mentioned all have flaws, which is why they're still free agents.

I don't think it's about being in good shape....I think it's just a mystery. We've seen potential in all these guys. They all have gotten better each year they have been in the league.

From purely a depth perspective, it’s a need IMO.

I don’t want to be in a situation where we have to move Jones or Awuzie to S.

Woods is the only one that I think can get better. Heath is what he is and I think it’s wishful thinking he’s going to get better. I like Frazier for what he is..... an in the box safety. But if we have to rely on him in coverage.....

i like Xavier
if you arent trading for a proven elite safety that shall not be named

Also say to them, that they suffer hym this day to wynne his spurres, for if god be pleased, I woll this journey be his, and the honoure thereof.

he had what 14 ints in 2 years? he could be damn good
if he struggles bench him for Heath and the guy that is elite vet will be on the market next year or look in the draft

Do we know where Thompson is expected to play? Safety or LBer?

And we have Huff as another unknown commodity.

They very well may be limited but my point is these guys have gotten better each year they have been in this league. Woods has only been in the league a year but he got better as the season went on.

Don't get me wrong.....I'd take Boston or Eric Reid right now. But I can also understand giving the guys they have here a shot. And I couldn't stand Heath. And I'm probably still of the opinion that Heath is good in doses and not as a full time starter. But I can also understand the approach of letting guys battle it out. IMO, Woods should be the guy and Frazier at SS.

Jason Thompson is not even listed on the roster right now. At 6-2 210, he's just not big enough to play OLB...don't know what the Bears were thinking.

Possible dime package contributor, but basically he's just a special teams athlete who will only play defense in garbage time IMO.
