Free Agent WR I Think Would Fit Nicely...

All I know is he's proven... I seriously doubt he'll command big money on the open market.

he won't be cheap, but at least we dont' have to worry about the Bears doing much to keep him

Da Bears won't try to retain him?
Exactly, what makes you think the Bears will let him go? Who else do they have to replace him?

I think the Cowboys can pick up a speedy receiver in the draft, no need to pay an average player lots of money when he is not that good.

To begin with, the draft is a complete crap shoot no matter the round.

We already have Miles Austin, who finally got on the field Turkey Day with Patrick Crayton's absence, rookie quarterback turned wideout Isaiah Stanback and Sam Hurd.

Some in the organization reported liking Austin's long term potential more than Sam Hurd's, though it's an open question if the raw speedster can learn the intricacies of the position.

Wade Phillips has praised rookie Stanback's work in practice so far, and he missed all of the off-season work and most of training camp and pre-season.

Sam Hurd isn't considered a speedster, but by no means does he look slow out on the field, IMO.

We have young speed at wideout already on the roster.

If we loose both Terry Glenn and Patrick Crayton this off-season, we need to sign a free agent in addition to using the draft.

If Glenn retires and Trick C stays, we don't have to do anything if the staff is truly high on the pups.

If both are back in '08, the Pats can prepare to have their newly sewn scoring record in serious jeopardy.

But if we let Crayton go, who do we have that can fair catch punts. Didn't think of that......now did you? :D

Marion the Barbarian.

The opposition has kicked out of bounds all three times he was back to receive punts this season according to Wade Phillips.

Coach jokingly compared him to Devin Hester and scaring teams.
