Do you believe Free will be able to handle Watt? At least give Romo time in the pocket. Hopefully we will be running most of the time.

Watt will see double and triple teams. The way our line is playing he should be just as worried as we are.

They will have to double team Watt. There aren't many tackles in this league that could take him one on one and probably even less of those could do so on a consistent basis.

I think it was Cowboys Break where they said if he's on Doug Free's side then run to the left behind Tyron.

Free will get TE and RB help when Watt lines up against him.

Just a bit of perspective: Watt was outstanding last year too. But the Texans still finished 2-14. Watt will get his, but he won't be the difference between winning and losing if the Cowboys can account for him.

Yep. Simple enough.

I'd try to run a screen or two his way as well...though that didn't really work out for Buffalo, I think Tony could manage it much better.

Not a bad idea, or even run to Free's side. Free is a much better run blocker that pass, especially against a guy like JJ. How demoralizing would it be for Houston to see Free pancake JJ or a run to the right!

I agree fully about the Free + Witten comment. I'm expecting plenty of combo stuff with Watt.

I say double him and run behind it. At least early.

Free, Martin, Leary, and Smith will all get their chances. No one can handle Watt 1 on 1... at least not consistently, though Smith vs. Watt will be a fun one to watch, so quick passes, double teams, TE/RB chips, and the run game will all be ways to help the offensive live deal with the best player in the NFL, IMO.

with the way our Oline has played im not too worried

but im a realist and realize that Watt is prbly the most dominant Dline player of his Generation and he will make his plays and presence felt no matter how good i think our oline is

you will, have to help free and even if they run away from him you still have to block him or he will run the play down. not many tackles can handle watt and it would be silly to assume free could so you have to chip him all day. i suspect most of his day will be spent watching murray run down the field. they have a poor run defense and you have to exploite that

The Patriots used racquetball paddles in practice the week before playing the Texans, maybe we can start there

16 weeks a year teams have to figure out a way to contain JJ.

Some do. Most don't.

I'm sure the Cowboys will be studying all week & practicing for just that.

He's the guy that drives that defense.

Should be fun.

If Free went 1on1 the whole game with him Watt would be challenging the single game sack record lol

First play out the gate I'd love to see Zach and Free pull to the right, mow him down, and run Murray right over his carcass.....:yourock:
