Per the NFL site, he has been released; Not a spring chicken but yet two or three years younger than Johnson and with a stronger arm. Would you pull the trigger?

For a one or two game backup, we could do a LOT worse. Frankly, I wasn't impressed with Brad Johnson in the one game where he played last season.

Why not? It is not as if that game was a true test of what Johnson could do if needed? The whole team took that day off. I have no problems with upgrades at back up QB, but Ferotte is not it.
