Can you really surf at the Outer Banks?

I wouldn't think the waves are big enough (although I'm not a surfer myself).

Beginning in September, the surf can get very big out there. They rotate the US Surfing Championships usually in 3 spots: Hawaii, Southern Cal, and Cape Hatteras. The rest of the east Coast (and most of California) does not have good surf. The summers are fairly calm, but even then it can get good with any type of storm within several hundred miles offshore. They call it the wave magnet due to it's location offshore and from the shelf.

No doubt though, it's fairly flat (as is most of the US) in tourist season (June-August).

1. If you could “fast forward” through something in life, would you? What would it be? No, but I have things in the past I would change.

2. Who’s someone you could get away with impersonating? I once impersonated Macho Man Randy Savage for him. He said it was the best he'd ever heard. I had done some promotional spots as him for KLPX 96.1 in Tucson.

3. Peeps or chocolate bunnies? Bunnies.

4. What have you been the most naive about? I thought I was going to play Pro football. I was convinced of it. I did not want to hear about the odds. I turned down an incredible offer that looking back I should have taken.

5. Plans for the weekend? Family portrait for my Mom and Mother-in-law for Mother's Day.

Yeah. It's crap for most of the year, but it picks up pretty good in late summer and fall. It's not Costa Rica or Indonesia though...that's for sure.

It's mostly slop through tourist season. Skimboarders' paradise.

I go every year around August and have a lot of fun boogie boarding, but that's about it.

5. Sat: School 1-6 (yuck) After that though I plan on watching one of my favorite movies, The Ten Commandments.
