1:15 pm Commanders coach Jim Zorn would not confirm if CB Carlos Rogers would start this week. "We have a good competition going and we haven't determined yet who will play."
1:12 pm FB Eddie Williams was carted off the practice field with an ankle injury, Commanders coach Jim Zorn said. He will be sent for x-rays.
1:08 pm "Levi (Jones) came in with a great attitude and worked his tail off," Commanders line coach Joe Bugel said. "The system he played under at Cincinnati is completely different than here. He had a lot to catch up on, and did what he had to do."
1:03 pm Offensive line coach Joe Bugel on his unit's line play: "They played as good as I could have expected last week against Denver. They will have to play even better against Dallas."
1:02 pm Commanders coach Jim Zorn on DT Albert Haynesworth's chances of playing Sunday: "Albert will be a game-time decision and that's all I can tell you. Seriously, I am being upfront with this. He will be listed as questionable for the game Sunday."
12:59 pm Commanders coach Jim Zorn said RB Clinton Portis will be sent to a specialist in Pittsburgh for further evaluation on the concussion he suffered two weeks ago.
12:25 pm The key to having a successful trip to Dallas hinges on getting to QB Tony Romo. "We have to get Romo down," LB Brian Orakpo said. "We need to keep harassing him, be able to get him down and keep this team one-dimensional."
12:06 pm When the Cowboys and Commanders meet Sunday in Dallas on November 22, 2009, it will be the fifth time the two teams have played on this date. The Cowboys have won three of the four prior meetings, and both home games.
12:00 pm WR Santana Moss was on pace for a 1,000-yard receiving season. Limited to just two receptions for eight yards last week, Moss has been an enigma most of the season. Remove the 10-reception, 178-yard performance against Detroit from Moss' season totals and he is having a subpar year.
11:49 am The struggles the team has had with the offensive line has led to struggles for WR Santana Moss. The diminutive receiver excels at getting open deep, but he and QB Jason Campbell need time to do so. Campbell overthrew Moss last week when he got behind the Broncos coverage.
11:46 am LB Brian Orakpo's take on his play this season: "Right now, I'm pretty proud of myself. It is a long way I came to learning the linebacker position."
11:41 am "Touchdown Todd" Yoder is one of many Commanders who have stepped up their play filling in for injured players. The TE only has two receptions this season, but both have been for touchdowns during injured TE Chris Cooley's absence.
11:39 am RB Ladell Betts will be the featured back this week with RB Clinton Portis ruled out. Betts, RB Rock Cartwright and RB Quinton Ganther helped the Commanders rush for a season high 174 yards last week against Denver.
11:36 am With RB Clinton Portis already ruled out against Dallas, it is looking more and more like DT Albert Haynesworth may not be available. Haynesworth was not on the practice field for warmups today. Commanders coach Jim Zorn said Haynesworth will be a game-time decision.
