12:56 pm "He is an explosive player. He is not that big, but he is strong and he is very hard to tackle. When he is in there, they run their regular running game." - Cowboys coach Wade Phillips' thoughts on Chargers RB Darren Sproles.

12:53 pm How will the Cowboys deal with the Chargers Pro Bowl TE Antonio Gates? "Their are certain personnel groups that you have to treat Antonio like he is a wide receiver but you also have to handle him when he just lines up like a tight end on the line," coach Wade Phillips said.

12:46 pm Look for Cowboys coach Wade Phillips to dress rookie LB Jason Williams this week to help on special teams. Williams has been inactive since the Kansas City game seven weeks ago. Williams is making progress, Phillips said. "He is learning how to be a pro."

12:43 pm The majority of the offensive snaps for the Cowboys this season have been in the two-TE package. With Martellus Bennett sitting out this game, coach Wade Phillips hinted that the Cowboys offensive plan could include more three WR sets, which he feels very good about.

12:38 pm The Cowboys will be without S Ken Hamlin (ankle) and TE Martellus Bennett (concussion) this weekend when they face the Chargers. Hamlin will be replaced in the lineup by S Alan Ball. TE John Phillips will be the back up to TE Jason Witten.

J-will in the building. Great news, ready to see this kid get the mental part down because he's a freak physically.

Maybe Wade admitted it in the walk-off, but he wouldn't say in the PC that Williams would be active for this game.

I just posted this in the Butler thread, so I'll copy it over:

And BTW, Wade was asked about J-Will today and he said he's doing fine and that he is "learning how to be a pro, which takes some guys a while". Said he's learned to work in practice and make plays in practice that can carry over into him being able to play. But Wade says he likes his attitude, so whatever he means, it doesn't sound like Williams is slacking.

yep he said maybe

but with bennett out in this game, thats what he eluded too, or another player to help out on special teams

but if you remember in one game this season, jason williams helped blitz on a play and caused a turnover, which resulted in points

Jason Williams inactive for seven straight games? Well, then, he probably hasn't shown much in practice. So, I wouldn't expect much from him.
