It was grandfathered into the rules as an exception. Other teams can do it, as well.

Classic example of how deceiving preseason records can be; the Giants 1st stringers have looked bad all preseason, but they may be 4-0 after today.

Wilson runs the zone read from time to time, but he's the real deal. Kap always struck me as a gimmick quarterback.
