If there is one thing I agree with, it's that coaching is "overrated." As long as you have more talent on the football field and are at least semi-good at coaching, then you'll win most football games. There are MULTIPLE great offensive and defensive coordinators out there. There isn't a best "one," so I'm not concerned that the Skins got what appears to be a decent one.

Hey deadskins fans--From a Boys fan who lives in DC:

The Boy Blunder is more than welcome to open his pocketbook as wide as he wants. He knows you suckers will pay to watch practices & all the other bulls*** he's foisted on you fools all these years, so he's throwing you a bone by hiring "name" coaches (as opposed to the geriatric "name" FAs who are still sucking up your cap space). That's capitalism at its finest. I hope he pays the next assistant $4 million & keeps ratcheting it up--& that all of the current ACs start demanding more. My version is that Snyder has to pay that kind of money, because otherwise no self-respecting AC would come to work for him & Gibbs (other than the retired dinosaurs Gibbs wheelchaired in last year). Jerruh is perfectly capable of opening his pocketbook if he so desires. The smaller teams cannot. I'll point out that it was the pocketbook race between Jerruh & the 49ers a few years ago that brought on the player cap in the first place. If Little Danny wants to start another pocketbook war, this time for assistants, let him knock himself out. Either other teams will start forking it out, or more likely, the owners will eventually put a cap in place for coaching salaries. Ultimately, you skins fans are the ones who have to pay those salaries--& as long as you're happy paying the prices charged, the sky's the limit.

Meanwhile, I, as someone who despises Snyder & the skins, will not put one single solitary cent into his pockets in any way, shape, or form. I refuse to attend any games, buy any merchandise, patronize any sponsors, or go to Six Flags (or any of his other properties). Again, that's capitalism at its finest.

Note to Cowboys fans: Little Napoleon now owns Six Flags. You might want to stay away; otherwise you're ultimately funding him.

I don't think that coaching is over rated. Neither do I think that quality of players is over rated. You need both to win.

Coach's are not under or effect the Cap at all, so why not put money into the organization where you can.

Locking up assistants and cordinators to a large salaries is leagle under NFL rules so I guess I don't see the big deal here. Jerry has the money to do the same if he wish's.

It is what it is. I don't think money is stopping us from hiring top name proven assistants, do you ? We don't even know who our cordinators will be yet.

When we do, who we have in place will not be based upon how much money we want to spend. It will be who BP decides he wants on his staff.

Does anyone think Jerry would put a limit on BP's allowence for coach's ? I certainly don't.

And also like Steinbrenner, he'd fail, and has already failed........Hasn't worked for NY, and it won't work for DC or any other team that tries it...You can't buy intangibles.......And that's what it takes to win the SB......Who picked the White Sox to win the WS before the season??? I think he meant the Steinbrenner of the 80's ... control freak, lavish spender, did nothing until he gave up control and let some real baseball people do is shopping.

That's when the 6 WS' happened.

But it's been 5 years since their last WS. Yanks have some work to do.

It's been 10 years since our last SB. I'm not worried about the Skins. I'm worried, as mentioned before, about the Billy's, the Jose's, the Tuckers, and the Petitti's.
