From the mouth of Skip Bayless

Skip stated that at some point this season, Romo will come back to bite the Cowboys. "He is too little, and too side-armed."

This all said when one of the guests on First Take suggested that the Cowboys are currently better than the Super Bowl champs, the Colts.

Skip then went on to say this was "flappable". Flappable? I believe that is what I heard. Then Skip went on to say that the Packers defense is much better than the Cowboys, and Brett Favre is just playing out of his mind. So I guess he is saying that the Packers are a better team than the Cowboys at this point. All arguable in my opinion.

But to blatantly dismiss Romo is classic Skip. And to say Romo will eventually bite the Cowboys because we all saw this type of thing in 2006, is again, all Skip.

He said that before the season. He said something like he was 5 ' 10". He's a moron.

He will keep his position so that when Romo has a poor game he can say "I told you so". It doesn't matter how good he looks until then or after that. Eventually, he will just ignore Romo when he can no longer diss him and still be credible enough to keep a job.

Skip will say anything to rile people up. He just makes himself look stupid, nothing more, nothing less.

Funniest thing is, he goes on to defend Brett Favre by saying that his good 4 game performance is "not a fluke"...

...Even though he just dismissed Romo because he's "only" played 4 games of this season...

I hate to admit it but the Packers offensively are just not very good yet, and they won't be until they can average close to 100yds a game rushing. Yet it sounded like Skip was ready to claim they are the better team.

Bayless has always been a Cowboys basher. He used to infuriate me when he was a writer for the Dallas Times Herald and Ft. Worth Star Telegram. He used to bash the team even when we were nigh unstoppable in the early 90s. He's an idiot in my book and always will be.

I love Romo, as you can see in my new sig (Thanks Juke). However, I have one issue with him still and it showed up yesterday. When we were pinned back early in the game and Romo threw that pick. If you watched him, he threw the ball deep off his back foot while going backwards.

I know this is correctable but let's face it, the Rams are not the Pats. If we start slow against them and he does something like that, then that is where he could haunt us.

Other than that one thing that, like I said is correctable, I am loving every moment of the Romocoaster.

Romo and Farve are both listed at 6'2 on NFL.com. :D

I was listening to the game on the radio at the time, but the DE got a push on Flo, and pretty much pushed him back into Romo, which was why he made a bad throw.

It sounded like that DE caused that INT more than anything else.

Last night I recorded my segment "Touch of Hostility" for dcfanatic's radio show. I had a message for the Skip Bayless folks out there.

Take your hand and stick it in a bucket of water. Now pull your hand out and look back at the hole in the water. That is how much Skip Bayless' opinions matter. The equivalent of that hole in the water.

This is true, however, sometimes the Qb has to know when a sack is better than a pick. However, I don't recall what down it was and if it was 3rd then it was like a punt.
But I have seen him do this before and it could bite us.

All that said, I think he will learn more as he goes. He has only started 14 games and they are comparing him with Favre.

Mark Tuinei is still listening to you Skippy.

Skip is still pissed about that incident on the airplane with Tuinei. Since Skip got out of Dallas, he can talk trash about the Cowboys now.

I don't understand why everyone is raving about Favre so much when Romo has clearly played better the whole season. Favre has been good, but Romo has better statistics.

People still read/listen to Skip Bayless?...I couldn't imagine that anyone actually tries to even evaluate what he says

It appeared to me that one of the receivers ran the wrong route. Two Dallas receivers were running side by side and Romo put the ball in a totally different spot. Unfortunately a St Louis player was in that spot, not a Cowboy. Romo's reaction told me that one of those receivers was supposed to run a different route.

Thats skips thing. Say something completely ******** and wait for the action to come to him. Hes an idiot and I highly doubt he believes half the crap he says. I really pray he does it on purpose just to get a rise and if thats the case, he does a good job at it. If not, he should be rendered sterile.

Ill never forget the time he tried to say that your average OL in the NFL is more of an athlete then Lance Armstrong or any cyclist. It was almost embarrassing to see someone just make an absolute fool out of themselves. Hes lucky that Im not in that business cause it wouldn't take much for me to reach over and just slap the hell out of him.

I know why hes kept around but its just a disgrace to all sports to have this guy provide his worthless opinion on anything.

Moderators, can we have another section on the Zone, for just Bayless bashing?

And why do you Morons keep on watching him anyway?
