Been thinking all night about what this F.O. must do moving forward for next year - and the short term future.
Great win last night ! But we made it harder than it needed to be !
First, I think Garrett has done enough with this 5 game win streak to keep his job. Not overly happy about that, but he will stay on as head coach now.
I can't believe that this F.O. does not see Daks limitations, it's obvious to everybody. If, as Jerry says, they plan on signing him to a long term deal - he needs better coaching and better teaching. So linehan must go, and Moore must go with him. He needs an experianced teacher to drill him on becoming better at all he does. He shows he can. But not consistantly. A more imaginative O.C. and a teacher at Q.B. coach will help to get the best out of him. And preach footwork and fundamentals.
Does Marrinelli retire to allow Richard to take the reins, or can they co-exist for 1 more year ? I would give Richard the D.C. title, and ask Marrinelli to stay 1 more year as linecoach/Defensive Consultant. They are very close on both offense and defense to being an elite team. A few more players in certain spots i.e. TE, FS, 1-tech, and better play calling/coaching. This team is poised to do big things this next few years .....
