Front office would be fools to pass up on Hendrickson

Def not better than Crosby, older, less durable and strictly a pass rush specialist. He’s a damn good player and cheaper but for sure not better.
This is what micah was, all he could do is rush the qb , and be disruptive. But that has value esp on 3rd downs.
Crosby had 28 TFLs last year. That is an obscene number and he did it with nobody around him that had to be accounted for.

That's his 3rd season with 20 or more TFLs. Hendrickson hasn't ever done it. Micah had 20 his rookie year and hasn't reached it again.
Micah is 1 dimensional , he will never again be the player he was in his rookie season.
Being disruptive though has value, just not 47 mil value lol.

As for Micah's TFL numbers- didn't he play a lot of off-ball LB his rookie season? Then Dallas found out he could rush the passer off the edge (something he rarely did at Penn State) and the rest is history. The problem with Micah as a full time DE was that by the end of the season, he needed weights in his pockets to stay over 240 pounds.

2 seasons left maybe.
I'm OK with that. I just want to see a glimpse of wildcatter Jerry again. When he was a gambling man earlier in his ownership, he didn't temper it with any kind of plan for the draft. Now, we at least seem to have a draft approach, but Jerry won't gamble in free agency.

I say go for it even if it doesn't work. At least it will be entertaining as we watch it all burn to the ground instead of that slog we suffered through last year.

Yeah, if you haven’t already figured it out I’m not a fan of posters who are always negative. It doesn’t compute with my DNA. I don’t understand it. It’s counter productive and leads to similar behavior in the rest of your life.
I have 3 gorgeous daughters who do nothing but brighten the lives of those around them, and I shared a steak dinner with my youngest tonight. The concept you have been unable to comprehend is that fans of teams voice their opinions in different ways...some only see the glass half full....some only see the glass half empty. And some like myself who have been a fan of a team for 40 years (a majority of them mismanagement) see things both ways. The ironic thing? THIS IS A MESSAGE BOARD, WHERE PEOPLE COME TO VOICE THOUGHTS, BOTH BAD AND GOOD. If you cannot handle this, then start your own message board for those who only see things half full. No rules suggest one has to approve of posts, but these are guidelines about constant trolling, which you don't care to respect. Nothing wrong with your DNA, respect the DNA of others, and they will in turn respect yours....

Just remember though, Bill Posters is an innocent man!

We may as well try to keep Clowney and save the money for others
I’m all for keeping Clowney. He’s a proven player and I’m sure Parker will have no problem using him. A good DC develops a scheme based on the players he has.

He’ll have multiple years of double digit sacks as long as he stays healthy. He’s a beast. Where have you been.

After watching his tape the guy is a legit stud. Amazing get off and closes and finishes. He's better than Crosby and doesn't cost us any picks and is the signing that could really change this defense around.
He’s old and has been injured. If they passed up for younger and guys with upside that wouldn’t be the worse thing.

I'm not sure I completely get the injury argument unless you are only talking about his most recent season, when he played in just seven games. Before that, he had back-to-back 17-game seasons and only missed one game his first two years with Cincy.

Now, he is 31 so we don't know how he will do coming off his first major injury, but he had shown a lot of durability up until last year.

I seem to remember him just always playing hurt. Which I don’t hold against someone if not for their most recent season wasnt plagued with injuries.

Well, he had 17.5 sacks each year in 2023 and 2024. If that's playing hurt, I'm good with it. Even his first two years with Cincy, he had 14 and 8.

I do hate that we always seem to end up with these players on the back end of their careers instead of in their prime.

In a traditional 4/3 he’d be nice. But Parker wants guys to drop in coverage too. Not sure he really fits the scheme we wants. If you want them to cover then I’d expect he’d want athletic edge guys
Agree

But then why the play for M.Crosby
He isnt a drop into coverage DE either.
The FA from Seattle fits best

Don't soil your life with the likes of him. Bad juju.

Yet all you do here is crap on your favorite team. It’s okay to be a hater here. It’s embraced. Just don’t deny it and look weak in the process. Man up and own it.

What are you paying him with. Dallas has 220,000 dollars under the cap. Thats it. They can pull certain levers and get up to 40 million but 28 million of that is reserved for Pickens with the tag

Yet you constantly respond to me and with insults in the process. You haters don’t like to be called haters because you know it’s true and don’t have the nads to own up to it and to try and do something about it.

Haters will ALWAYS take the negative view. They can’t help themselves.
Is Hendrickson already a Cowboy and I missed it?

How can he be hating on a player that isn’t even on the team?

Are there any players who you don’t want to sign, for whatever reason? Does that make you a hater.

If he made a comment about Josh Allen’s offseason foot surgery being a concern considering QB runs are such a big part of his game, is he a hater?

You’ve got some really weird and extreme tribalism that is so bizarre that I don’t even think you understand it

Stopped reading at front office "would be" fools. That implies that they are not already.

You’ve been here long enough to know my definition of a hater. Don’t be naive. And you’re not one of them.
