This is what micah was, all he could do is rush the qb , and be disruptive. But that has value esp on 3rd downs.
Micah is 1 dimensional , he will never again be the player he was in his rookie season.
As for Micah's TFL numbers- didn't he play a lot of off-ball LB his rookie season? Then Dallas found out he could rush the passer off the edge (something he rarely did at Penn State) and the rest is history. The problem with Micah as a full time DE was that by the end of the season, he needed weights in his pockets to stay over 240 pounds.
I'm OK with that. I just want to see a glimpse of wildcatter Jerry again. When he was a gambling man earlier in his ownership, he didn't temper it with any kind of plan for the draft. Now, we at least seem to have a draft approach, but Jerry won't gamble in free agency.
I have 3 gorgeous daughters who do nothing but brighten the lives of those around them, and I shared a steak dinner with my youngest tonight. The concept you have been unable to comprehend is that fans of teams voice their opinions in different ways...some only see the glass half full....some only see the glass half empty. And some like myself who have been a fan of a team for 40 years (a majority of them mismanagement) see things both ways. The ironic thing? I’m all for keeping Clowney. He’s a proven player and I’m sure Parker will have no problem using him. A good DC develops a scheme based on the players he has.
He’ll have multiple years of double digit sacks as long as he stays healthy. He’s a beast. Where have you been.
He’s old and has been injured. If they passed up for younger and guys with upside that wouldn’t be the worse thing.
They need an edge who can get around 10 sacks, they need a LB who can play the run and they need a better than average CB. Get those 3, and the team stays relatively healthy, it’s Super Bowl time.
I'm not sure I completely get the injury argument unless you are only talking about his most recent season, when he played in just seven games. Before that, he had back-to-back 17-game seasons and only missed one game his first two years with Cincy.
I seem to remember him just always playing hurt. Which I don’t hold against someone if not for their most recent season wasnt plagued with injuries.
Well, he had 17.5 sacks each year in 2023 and 2024. If that's playing hurt, I'm good with it. Even his first two years with Cincy, he had 14 and 8.
