He's not better than Crosby. He's just cheaper.

Consensus is he is definitely a better pass rusher than Crosby. Unfortunately, that seems to be all some fans care about. Erickson is a poor run defender. Crosby is a better all around DE than parsons or Erickson.

Also, I read that while Erickson gets the sacks, he is not a high pressures guy.

Cowboys traded for Gary because his salary was what they felt comfortable with. They didn’t want to compete with other teams if he was released. That tells you their mindset going into FA
