Don't get me wrong, it would be great if that ended up being the case but in the short term I'm just enjoying the change in philosophy and how we quickly addressed a lot of our question makes in a matter of three days.

Agreed. I think it was much to put that out there. A lot can happen from now until start of the season in the very least

When you pick a 6th ranked player at 17, its hard to say anything negative about the pick. And then when getting players in need at good draft positions, it sweetens the deal. Then to know these players will also be coached better, seals the deal.

Those that are complaining about this draft have not stepped up and announced who they would have rather taken, I would at least appreciate their player preference if they are hating this draft.
Just complaints and no substance to back up their displeasure.

My observation over the years is that fans will complain about almost anything, lol. Most complaints about the draft usually come from fans who had “pet cat” obsessions on certain players they loved. That usually goes away as soon as TC or the reg season starts.

The other extreme fan reactions come from those that declare every player we drafted as a lock on the HOF and that we are headed for a run of 5 straight super bowl wins! The truth is almost always in the middle somewhere.

The 2020 draft appears to be an excellent haul of talent. If we get what we expect from Lamb and get two CBs and DT that can plug and play, it will be a nice draft.

I’m in total favor of Jerry just staying on that yacht year round.

I really hope Jerry is lamenting keeping clowns like Garrett in the building for over a decade.

The second you put true football minds together they crush it.

I said in the draft thread yesterday that it makes me sick to think they could have been doing the exact same thing for the past 20 years with just a little bit of common sense about how to approach the draft. All it took was a head coach that said to simply find me the best football players and I’ll figure out how to use them. Instead we’ve suffered through reaches and head scratching picks because of position coaches being laser focused on specific must have traits while leaving the more productive and obviously better players on the table. I hope this is the beginning of a new philosophy and Jerry and Stephen realize it and never go back.
