I feel that we are a real FS and a OLB that produces opposite of D ware regularly away from a defense that can really do something. The way we are running the ball in my opinion I feel that we are playing December type of football right know I am not trying to get ahead of myself but this is starting too look like a strong football team anchored by a good o-line. Teams are going to start to stack the line and that is when we can use Roy like Michael Irvin and hopefully one of our other WR can step up like Alvin Harper. What do you guys and gals think:starspin

Totally agree with the FS part, totally disagree with the OLB part. Watch Spencer closely, he's balling out of his mind. He's gotten close to the QB several times also but just hasn't gotten there yet. Give him some time and some more relief with Butler producing.

New Nationcb I probably feel that way about Spencer because a rookie came in and got two sacks in a game maybe its just a mirage but if we can get sacks on the opposite side of D ware O coordinators will be in a catch 22 double Ware or double opposite Ware it will set up nicely for us if the Offense has to keep a RB or a TE to help with either side leaving less weapons are D has to cover or account for

Spencer is the truth. He is playing the run really well, and he definitely has pass coverage skills that he's been showing off. His pass rushing hasn't been quite there, but our whole team is catching up, there.

Butler had fresh legs late in the game. Hopefully he is showing enough to spell Spencer some, maybe give Ware a break, too.

A better FS is a glaring need.

As far as the other OLB, I get what you are saying, it seems like Spencer hasn't come through yet. Every once in awhile, Spencer shows glimpses and really impresses me with a play or two. Throw in the fact that we have guys like Victor Butler, Curtis Johnson, and Brandon Williams (next year) and I think we have the ability to get Ware some help.

i think a rotation of Spencer and Bulter out there at OLB will give us all we need opposite of Ware. What we need right now is a playmaking FS and we'd be in good position to be a very good defense.

I would rather have a big NT and move Ratliff to DE.

This is my hope as well and I agree, Spencer has been a beast in the run game and coverage.

DMG I felt that way at first but Jay Rat is so fast getting up the middle if our OLB's didn't loop so wide the QB could only go backwards or try to move up in the pocket avoiding JRat to pass the ball but by moving up in the pocket he would be moving right into the teeth of our front linemen

Dallas really needs to find a really good to great safety. There's little doubt in my mind that unless Hamlin steps up his play, his performance is going to come back to haunt us.

I'm not sure why we've been so hesitant to go after a good ball-hawking safety all of these years. We drafted Roy in the first round, but he was a big hitter safety and not exactly a ball hawk. I was going over each of the great defenses over the past 20 years and almost every single one of them had at the very least, one solid safety and one of the league's best safeties starting for them.

We tend to forget that prior to his pay day, Hamlin had great range. It seems that he has gone belly up after he got his paper. I too feel that if he doesn't return to form he will cost us a game or two.

Some where some offensive coordinator is setting up a play to exploit him at the applicable time. More then likely it will work.

The Panthers already did it two nights ago.

I think Hamlin still has all of the physical tools like range, he's just too cocky. He doesn't wrap up, and he seems to want to jump routes in order to try to make a big play rather than being solid.

You give him too much credit, not on the tools part because I think he has the tools, but after getting paid, I think he is just flat out lunching it.

Guarenteed he's cut this offseason. Saves 1.5 in cap space and saves Jerry 5.5 million dollars in payin him. He's gone.

Roy Williams is better than Irvin... Irvin is like 45!

I agree. Overall I'd say he has had a solid first two years with the team, but it's pretty apparent his skills are diminishing at a pretty good rate.
