I feel good for any ex-Cowboy that gets a ring with another team. I was very happy for DeMarcus Ware because I felt his career deserved a ring. You bet I feel the same way for Jason Witten. Had Romo continued his career with another team, I would have wished the same for him.

I always feel a little sad for great Cowboys that contributed in a way that was considered worthy of several Pro Bowl selections, only to retire without accomplishing their most coveted goal, a championship. I've heard enough testimonials from ex-players that made a great deal of money to know it stings.

Jason Witten's career with the Cowboys certainly deserved at least one ring.
