Guys:

I was watching the Dallas FSSW show (forgot the guys name, he's on twice a week for 30 minutes) and he said that he heard bad rumors starting in 2007.

He said the things he heard caused him to have doubts begining in 2007, but he would not say specifically what he heard. He also said the bad rumors sort of went away later, but then returned.

I think if you bring something like this up, you should be more specific, but I guess he wanted to protect his source.

Do any of you know more specifics on what he was talking about?

when you lose a "win and you are in" game 44-6....that is all you need to know. When you have a bye week with guys being photographed in Cabo...that is all you need to know. When you have beaten a team TWICE...are 13-3...have home field advantage throught, then give up a 75 yard TD drive in about 60 seconds with 2 mins left to go in the 1st half of a playoff game..that is all you need to know about what a circus act this team really was, but was hiding.

:hammer: x 2

Its all TO fault.......... :)

This year our locker room was filled with character guys.....all the supposed poison was gone.....rats...cancers...etc....all shipped away.

We had team unity..a happy family......all the expectations on this so called talented team was set....

and we ran right into a nighmare.......coaches failed to coach.....leaders failed to be leaders.....and the sheep put their tails between their legs and quit on their team....the Star......its fans.....and Jerry......

Changes need to be made......players need to be accountable also.....I hope Garrett plays no favorites.....whip the whip.....

That Cabo thing really meant nothing. But the sudden complete collapses should have been a fore warning. 2007 was a lot of the players wanting to prove that they could play good without BP; but by the end of the year it was starting to frey. How our O line in the first half could run it right down the Giants throats on a 10 minute drive then collapse like it did in the fourth has always convinced me that they were simply gassed; the giants rotated their D all game long and they were a lot more fresh at the end.

2008 the way it ended with us completely collapsing and giving up in what was to all intents and purposes a playoff game should have gotten Wade fired right then. Then us doing the same thing after winning a playoff game the next year should have been the final straw. But Jerruh was 'comfortable' with wade and that is what was important.

44-6 was 2008. Otherwise spot on.

the Cabo thing NEVER happens with Jimmy or Bill in charge....it happens with Barry and Wade in charge. It was an UNECESSARY distraction. Was it a sign that this group could not HANDLE expectations? So much so that they had to "get away" during the freaking NFL PLAYOFFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep. You covered everything there.

Hopefully Jason Garrett can remove the "circus act" culture that this team has been dealing with for the last 3 1/2 years.

I dont know.......The "White house" happened under Jimmy's watch.....Jimmy didnt care what you did off field IMHO.....all he cared about was practice hard....win on Sunday....

Didnt the "U" get in trouble when Jimmy left there too?

The Carbo thing is so overrated......they spend what 2 nights there? Other teams players with the bye....had their weeks off.......went fishing...hunting...Vegas...etc.....but nothing is ever said about other teams players....because it wasnt TMZ news.....Jessica and Romo.....

btw.....Big Bill wouldnt let Carbo happen but turned a blind eye to Taylor's Cocaine addiction......

It was ridiculous.

You would have NEVER seen Aikman...Staubach... Bradshaw...Montana...Brady...Young...Hell anyone that I can think of doing that.

I don't care if Phillips told them to go to the moon...you don't don't do that before a playoff game. Period.

THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH FOOTBALL

Actually, that very same weekend . . . Tom Brady went partying in New York with his model girlfriend.

Please don't compare the pedigree, swagger, confidence, brashness, live for the big stage Cowboys of the 90s....with the mental midgets in the lockeroom today.

And please don't compare ANYONE in Dallas today with Lawrence Taylor. There are always exceptions to the rule...but this OUTFIT has won ZIP. They have NO skins on the wall...and they have PROVEN they cannot handle expectations...so they need someone to RIDE them until the understand what it takes to COMPLETE the mission!!!!

You mean the same Tom Brady that ALREADY had 3 Super Bowls on his resume?

Pretty convenient timing for this three year old revelation to come to light.

you are right...and for this mentally fragile soft team...even MORE reason to have been at home, in the film room or the practice field. This was Tony's FIRST year as a full time starting QB in the NFL...again, was this the first sign that THIS edition of the Dallas Cowboys could NOT handle being a Dallas Cowboy? Or perhaps a sign that this TEAM felt the need to CELEBRATE making the playoffs? This is Dallas. It is much BIGGER than making the playoffs...we have made the playoffs more than any other franchise. We have won more playoff games than any other franchise. We do not CELEBRATE making the playoffs!!!!!!

I'm not saying they should have went.

I'm saying the backlash to that was unjust, and ridiculous. Romo played for the most part a very good game.

The reason you "don't go to Cabo" isn't because you can be preparing or practicing more, it's because of the outcry from the media that will in turn create a mini-distraction.

That was why all the ex players and coaches were saying it was dumb to go. It had nothing to do with football.
