Solid take-on player - good initial pop on contact. Long arms to take on and get rid of blockers. Good lateral quickness and speed - can close down the line. Can penetrate and hit gaps. Good job of re-routing the TE. He is an effective blitzer on pass downs. He shows solid speed off the edge on his pass rush - good burst to finish. He is a full tilt player and at times can get out of control and lose where he is on the field. Can be late with his reads in run support. Not instant to react at the snap. He looks awkward playing in space. Does not show quick change of direction. Good in line tackler but can get frozen if he is 1x1 out near the numbers. Does not protect his legs very well in-line. Overall, he is a productive player that has led the team in tackles for consecutive seasons. Tall OLB with a long lower body and long arms. He is a good athlete for the position - solid straight-line speed.
