First off, Dallas trades #9 (1350), #109 (76) and #140 (36.5) to San Diego for #18 (900), #51 (390) and #82 (180). I can see SD trading up if Nick Fairley falls or if they are hot for Julio.

Total points traded:
Dallas - 1462.5
San Diego - 1470

#18 - Gabe Carimi, OT, Wisconsin
#40 - Rahim Moore, FS, UCLA
#51 - Marcus Cannon, OG, TCU
#71 - Pernell McPhee, DE, Mississippi State
#82 - Kenrick Ellis, DT, Hampton
#171 - Henry Hynoski, FB, Pittsburgh
#209 - Jeff Maehl, WR, Oregon

Let me know what you think.

I like it, I don't think Dallas goes Moore at 40. Moore has dropped and Ryan likes true tacklers as his safeties.

With this lockout no telling when it gets done, so we need day one starters at safety. With no telling when training camp will be and no rookie camps until this lock out ends i don't see Dallas going safety early in the draft.

I think Ryan will find safeties that knows his system. Huff, Poll, and Elam all have played for Ryan. Manning is a smart fast veteran SS. I think thats how Dallas is going to go at the safety position.

In this mock I would rather see Harris or Williams in the 2nd.

I actually had Williams at 40. I switched it to Moore because I thought Williams might have moved into the late 1st. I saw somewhere that somebody had Deunte Williams going in the 6th. Does anybody else see that? If so, is he still desireable to Big D?

I seen mocks have seen him from the 3rd to the 6th

but I say he goes in the 3rd

he just to good IMO - well the Cowboys will know about him through Butch Davis

I love to get him late great value

[I'd love to get duenta r4 or lower and redshirt him , but i agree with supercowboy8 we most likely will go the vet route at saftey.

as far as the mock carimi is on of my favorite guys in this draft so i love that but would love to go d-line in r2 if a heyward was there i would be all over that. really like cannon alot as well thik if the top 3 were something like carimi , heyward and cannon we would have 3 potential day 1 starters . then we could target guys like duenta who have great upside and of course the beast that is hyno must be added or the mock gets a F. lol

not bad, but give me WR Cobb and FS Deunta instead of FS Moore and McPhee, I also need a RB vice a FB

I don't really see the point of the trade down.

Carimi and Moore are good picks but it feels like you are chasing needs.

The point was to get better value for the 1st round pick and not reach for somebody at 9. We traded a 1st, 4th and 5th for a 1st, 2nd and 3rd. I think that is a great trade for us. It allows us to walk away with 5 top 100 players instead of 3. Is that clear enough?
