If the Rams are trading Ramsey to Dallas for 26 and 170… why wouldn’t they just make the trade to Detroit for 18 and 81?

Detroit is willing to give up 18 and 81 for Diggs… I’m sure they’d rather have Ramsey.

That just jumped out at me when I saw this.

As for the picks:

I’m not crazy about Dexter, but I like Washington, Avila, and Stevenson.

The 2nd round seems high for Mingo, but they haven’t even had the combine yet, so we really don’t know… but it seems high to me.

And, I think there might be better backs to be had than Miller in the 4th, but I still need to watch him some more, so maybe I’m missing something with him. I’ll rewatch him again soon.

That was a lot of work, so I appreciate the effort man. Keep them coming.

You do know Ramsey wants a new contract? 2023 is the last guaranteed year of his deal. In fact, it's the straw behind Ram's decision to trade him. My guess he's expecting top 3 money.........hard pass for me ( giving up a draft, paying a boatload of money, little more drama than I want, and his 3rd team in 5 years.)

Yep and as Asthma stated, would Diggs have more trade value than Ramsey? As he said Detroit would likely rather have Ramsey.

Yes, I think so. Diggs is younger and cheaper.

Then give it to him. I'd rather give it to him then Diggs.

I like your draft.

Why cut Hooker? Got him at a reasonable number.

Man this is a bad idea
Forget Ramsey who will want more than Diggs
Just trade Diggs for 18 and 81 and take Gonzales with 18 and another CB later in this deep draft

I think the same, also I don't think anyone is going to want to give a pick above 25th for Diggs since there are several good CB's projected in the first round, if you could get a first round pick for Diggs, it would be one below 25th when the first round CB's are gone, and even if there is someone who needs a CB as a priority, or use Diggs and the first pick to move up

That would be such a Raiders move to let Josh Jacobs go only to draft a RB at 7th overall...
With no QB, taking a RB would be odd.

Man I appreciate the effort and Well thought out plan. I myself would rather have Gibbs without extra pics nor Dexter. I do have a question do you really think Avilla has the agility to be a zone blocker. Again I appreciate your effort

It's not his best skill but he can do it and did it at tcu when he had to.

Yeah, I think Avila could work with what Dallas will be doing this season. Solari and Schottenheimer have always run an inside zone instead of the outside zone that Dallas ran last year.

In the outside zone, the runners landmark is either the TE or a ghost TE, so the guards have to be able to either get outside or get horizontal movement with their DT, so it requires lateral movement, a ton of technique. Strength isn’t needed as much in an OZ. Avila is less suited to that.

In the inside zone that Dallas will be using this season, the runners landmark is the inside hip of the guard, with the runner deciding to bend, bang or bounce to hit the gap. This requires much more strength getting vertical movement instead of horizontal from the guard… something that Avila is particularly suited for. You must have more size and strength from your guards in an inside zone.

That is why when I heard that Dallas was interested in Avila, it made perfect sense to me. They want a push there, and with him next to Tyler Smith, that left side would be brutal.

I’m sure Dallas will still run some OZ, but it won’t be nearly as much. Avila could do it, but he won’t be as good as he is when he is the landmark for the RB.

Thar is the first thing that popped into my mind with the trade.

Do I think they'll trade him? He'll no, but it's a shame that people think talent outside Dallas is always better. DIGGS even having a down yr is still 14 to 8 in ints the last 2 yrs. He improved his coverage this yr playing the whole game not letting up in garbage time like in 2021 when he gave up the majority of his cat he's.

Again I just don't think you can pay everybody. Ramsey has 3 yrs left on his deal with and avg of 15 Mil caphits. He has roster bonuses due in 2024 and 2025. He'll Dallas could take 10 mil and give him a new sb and free up 8mil this yr and have him playing on a 9 mil caphit in 2023.

I want a more physical team. And more balanced. I'd rather have 10-12 players that are good with doing their job and can get it done without penalties. Then say 2 stars in Diggs and Pollard.

I think Mingo is going to be a 2nd rounder. May get drafted a little higher than he should. But teams are desperate for WR’s and in a very thin class, I can see it.

It is possible. I guess we will see. I am liking him more as we go along, so my initial thoughts on him very well could have been wrong.
