Did dallas have a good shot at recovering it?

Cobb coughed it up after a hit by Spillman (I believe) and we just missed it by a few inches.

Hanna was right on top of it. It looked like Patmon kind of knocked it away as Hanna was falling on it. This was a HUGE play.

Hanna was a couple inches away from recovering the ball on the initial dive for it. The ball grazes against his forearm and a Green Bay player pushes his hand down causing him to squeeze faster/harder and away from what he was trying to do, causing the ball to bounce free above his arms.

The best tease shot of potential recovery:

Thanks for this shot. I was telling my buddies it was the kind of play where it you took a screen grab you'd be convinced Dallas recovered. This picture does the trick. Huge missed opportunity.

Would have been game (likely) had they recovered it.

It's a game of inches, as they say.

Hanna should have recovered it. It's too big of a play to have any of that someone knocked it out bs. You have to make those plays. He missed on it. And it was a HUGE miss because we'd just gone up 21-13 to answer their TD. Getting that ball, right then, and having a short field and chance to go up 28-13 would have been MASSIVE.

Another huge missed opportunity, there were so many today, hard to keep them all together.

Game might have been put away if they recovered and got a TD off of that. But that is what happens when a team doesn't jump on the chance to put a good team away

This is going to be a hard game to re-watch If we play a pretty clean game and just make smart plays we could easily have been up 38-7. Hear me out. If we just get the first down at the end of the half and then kick the FG we are up 17-7. We stopped them on their 1st possesion of the second half and then Murray fumbles when Buck,Aikman and Tomlinson all say he would have scored a TD. Green Bay then kicks a FG. We now should have been up 24-7. Murray does score on our next possesion and that would have been 31-7 (or even 31-14 if Packers score a TD after Murray's TD). We then force the fumble on the ensuing kick off and Hanna has it right under him and then Patmon knocks it out. If we get that I am almost sure we get another TD and very well could have been up 38-7 or at worse 38-14 and that crowd would have turned on the Packers big time.

We just made too many dumb mistakes and then didn't take advantage of oportunities right in our hands. One of the toughest playoff losses I've seen and I've seen plenty.

A game of missed opportunities, but most teams are probably saying that at the end of their season.

1. The missed/blocked field goal.
2. The Demarco fumble when he had nothing but green in front of him.
3. The fumble that we're basically laying on after that kickoff that we somehow don't come away with.

If even one of those things is different, we probably win. But, that's life.

There where a number of Rodgers completions that were were completed by literally a fingertip. The TD pass to Adams. The TD pass to Richard Rodgers -- in both cases Moore was THIS close to getting a hand in there.

A game of inches...

Then again, if the defense doesn't surrender a 90 yard drive after the fumble, including failed third down stops.

We can point to a lot of plays, but if we get a defense on par with our offense we are Super Bowl champs again. No insult to our current squad they fought they're just not that good

That was a huge lost opportunity. If we recover that ball, we likely put'em away at that point.
