Well I do agree, and I said it a bit tongue in cheek......trust me I've been pounding the table for forever about how bad our safeties are in deep coverage. Bet Carr would've loved some support yesterday, he just didn't get it.



I know that, but I was just curious how the safeties graded, I know we sucked.

Guess I just can't believe Carr got landblasted like that but the safeties got off that easy.

I saw him get walked back a few times. Detroit investing first round picks on the D Line showed itself yesterday with them getting pressure with 4 guys and being able to drop 7.

Only two players above +1.0 on defense... Sean Lee and Ernie Simms.

Then we have a bunch of ugly with the worst being:

Selvie -3.3
Hayden -2.5
Vega -2.1
Durant -2.3
Hamilton -1.2

And Carr?

-6.4 (his pass defense actually graded out at -7.0, but his overall grade was helped a little by some positive run defense)

Offense:

Bryant (+1.8) and Free (+2.3) were the only ones above +1.0

Leary -3.3
Romo -1.7
Randle -2.3

These three graded out worst on offense.

With as down as I have been on the Kiffin hire (among many) he cant make chicken salad out of chicken feathers. Way too many scrubs on defense.

Losing the game was not the worst part, arguably. The worst part was how the Cowboys were outclassed all over the field.

I think there's some merit to what you're saying.

It's not a very talented defense.

That being said, Carr has some talent, he simply played a miserable game.

Why was Hayden in on the last drive........he isn't one of our better inside pass rushers so why play him on the final drive?
