The best-looking run of the day, alas, might have been defensive end Greg Ellis' 37-yard jaunt with a recovered fumble, during which he resembled Bigfoot being pursued by angry villagers.

My wife who generally doesn't care for football just started laughing during this play. I think Gil nailed this one...

I thought it was humorous, too, the way Ellis was plodding along, weaving back and forth uncontrollably.

I think at one point Ellis wrapped both hands around the ball to protect it like a stolen loaf of bread. That image coupled with your post of Gil's description of the Giants as angry villagers, it's all clear to me now. LOL

I was like hold the ball, yelling at the TV. It looked like he was looking for someone to lateral it too. I was so scared, seeing Leon Lett visions revisited. I am just glad he did not fumble that ball when the Jints caught up to him.

He made a cut to avoid a would be tackler that would have bested our KR and PR both of which can't juke opposing kickers. :laugh1:

I was cheering so loud watching a D-lineman having a shot at TD glory. But at 6-7, I didn't really expect him to outrun everyone, but man he had me going.

I was also yelling at the TV. Everyone in the house thought I was nuts.

In a post game interview, Greg said at first he thought he could make it, then he laughed and said the endzone suddenly seemed very far away.

Parcells was harassing Greg as well. Parcells told him that when he reached the 40 he got out is calendar, it took like three days. Something like that :)
