Funny Deon Anderson request for a new nickname!

anderson was on kia sw sportstalk a couple of days and I havent had a chance to post what he said, it was pretty funny.

I didnt get a chance to record it, sorry.

Anyway he said he doesnt like the nickname "Cricket". Alonzo coleman gave it to him as we all know the story from last years camp.

anyway he wants his new nickname to be "Death Striker 1"

Seriously. The dude is a nut. I cant wait to watch him.

Oh and he said he loves moose and moose has helped him with alot of stuff.

Instead of worring about a nickname, Anderson should be focusing on getting in shape and studing the playbook.

He looked like he was in great shape and his x's and o's talk seem to be pretty good.

He sounds like he loves the game above all else. He is the kind of guy this team needs.

I suspect he will be the leader on special teams by seasons end. He is very vocal and animated on the sideline.

i dont know if he was in good shape or not, he was like 280 and lost 40 pounds in no time at all, seems like he got out of shape eating the wrong foods;

only time will tell, but if you eat the wrong foods, then it shows up later during the year,

personally, I think having a guy w/ a sense of humor like his can go a long way to lighten the mood in the lockerroom...especially after tough practices. I like him!

It's the offseason you jerks, the guy is allowed to clown around, training camp starts in 3 weeks he'll have plenty of time to be serious then... I love his attitude, he's going to be a pretty good one.

i'd say the struggles were at least partly due to cricket getting injured but not sure how he can be blamed for that.

i think he is one of the most genuine people on the team and is as excited as can be to be on the team.

i love the death striker 1 nickname.
