I had an experience similar to this with a hydroplaning vehicle (but not a tanker truck thank goodness) and my eyes stayed in front of me so I knew where I was running and did not trip over anything. Panic is one thing and justified but you must keep your head in that kind of situation. Looking BACK was not the best idea. A split second delay could be the difference between life and death.
