I do like that once the other dog noticed the distress, it went to make sure help was not needed. It didn't laugh and pull out a camera.

Two people talk about tricking the dog.

One decided to hold the towel.

The other decided to hold the cellphone camera.

Both did not think the prank all the way through but which person is dumber? Is it

A: The one who knew she must go down the stairs in order to disappear? or
B: The one holding the cellphone camera, watching the scene unfold and never realizing to say, "Hey. Maybe we should do this in another part of the house because I am staring at those stairs behind you..?"

That dog was not making sure help wasn’t needed.
He barey went over to be nosey to see what the commotion was all about.
If it had opposable thumbs and an iphone, it may have started to snap a video.
